Hey Meredith, I have a question. Can vampires biologically give birth to baby vampires? I've been wondering about this for awhile, and you're the authority to ask. :)
@waytogeaux: I knew I had glanced that thing before but never seen the movie. Based on your description, it sounds like a movie that belongs in my collection. Unless you meant that in a "its terrible" way..
Oooh, any chance of an LA/Santa Barbara drop by? Just, you know, when you want to take your private jet for a spin... (You do have a private jet, right? I mean, all internet admins must. Don't ruin my dreams!)
I'm really quite in awe of the vituperativeness (or is it vindictiveness?) of Scott R. Kurtz's 'cartoon' of the Dushku.
From the top:
Limp, Lifeless hair.
Receding hairline.
Caterpillar eyebrows.
Sunken, listless eyes.
Sagging cheeks, lips, chin, throat, boobs (headed for the armpits).
Fleshtone from the palette of a 1960's plastic model kit.
Chubby biceps and forearms.
Pensioner's belly under the drawstring pants.
Bulging thigh.
There's even a hint of 'Megan Fox thumb'.
Not a trace of misanthropic misogyny here. No sireee! #io9bestoftheweek
@Alchemistmerlin: It's because of the consistent alterations to an underlying photograph of Dushku in the chair, from Dollhouse, that the artist has line-traced over.
Nothing on the page is accidental, it's all a product of choice, especially to an experienced caricaturist.
He (in this case, it is a he) was either trying to convey a deliberate point of view [in which case, kudos to his skill in doing so, but wtf? to his pov] or perhaps conciously chose to use denigrating alteration of superficial appearance traits to make a satirical point [perfectly reasonable and legitimate (indeed this would make even Hogarth proud) in the context of his critiqueing of 'Dullhouse' (his stated 'view', check the link)].
Or has inadvertently revealed his underlying subconcious feelings towards her (and/or the character) in a way that is frankly disturbing in its choice of means of expression.
If you don't see it, you don't see it.
But that doesn't mean others don't
and it doesn't mean it isn't there. #io9bestoftheweek
I don't know why, but as I looked at that picture of Echo in the chair, all I could think about was that alien puppy from Planet 51 bursting out of Echo's belly. #io9bestoftheweek

...
You got all that from what is essentially a line-drawing with some photoshop color thrown in?
Methinks someone's tinfoil hat needs replacing. #io9bestoftheweek
