Apparently there's something called "spoiler stress" that comes from reading too many spoilers, and it can shorten your life! So handle our new motherlode of spoilers for Hellboy 2 and Journey To The Center Of The Earth 3-D with caution. And don't let all of the crazy spoilers/rumors about Saturday's finale of British time-travel show Doctor Who freak you out too much. We also have some new bits of information about the sequels to Iron Man and Transformers, straight from directors Jon Favreau and Michael Bay. Marvel Is Rushing Iron Man 2 And Avengers, Says Favreau Don't start looking for a date for the April 2010 launch of Iron Man 2 just yet. Director Jon Favreau says there's no way he can make that release date unless he makes a terrible movie. Says Favreau, "Neither Robert nor I were consulted about this and we are both concerned about how realistic the date is in light of the fact that we have no script, story or even writers hired yet." Favreau adds that he shouldn't have to sacrifice script quality, just so Marvel can strike while the iron is hot. Favreau's also annoyed that he won't get to direct Avengers, because Marvel has scheduled Iron Man 2 and Avengers too close together. Still, if I was Favreau I would think twice before complaining so loudly without a signed contract. Oh, and I'd wear the Iron Man helmet out constantly. Do you think Downey would do Iron Man 2 if Favreau wasn't connected? [Myspace]

Iron Man 2 Will Have More Armored Heroes, But No Drunken Armor Mastery

Iron Man's coolest armored sidekick, War Machine will have a major role in Iron Man 2, says actor Terrance Howard. Filming for the Iron Man sequel starts next March, in the hopes of meeting the film's release date, set for April 2010, Howard told Military.com. But how does Howard's character, Jim Rhodes, become War Machine in the next movie? In the comics, he has to start wearing battle armor because Tony Stark goes on the mother of all boozy benders. But the movies may take a different tack, says director Jon Favreau. More »

New Clips From BSG And Hancock, Plus A New Hulk Review

The new issue of Entertainment Weekly is full of hand-wringing about spoilers, and how they're ruining things like the Lost season finale for everybody. According to our critics, spoiler whores are really just attention whores — which isn't necessarily true. We just love finding things out early. Like the secrets of how Incredible Hulk sets up a new villain for its possible sequel. Or exactly how things work in Joss Whedon's new amnesiacs-for-hire show Dollhouse. Not to mention our glee when we get new clips from Will Smith's Hancock or this Friday's Battlestar Galactica. We're also excited by new hints about Lost, Iron Man 2, Spectacular Spider-Man, and Jason Statham's new film Death Race. We're spoiler-happy, and we're happy to share. More »

It's All Super-Soldiers And Gods In Upcoming Marvel Movies

Between mecha-fighter Iron Man's second movie, coming in April 30, 2010, and military-sponsored super-soldier Captain America, coming May 6, 2011, Marvel Comics' upcoming movie slate has a very militaristic feel. But where's the peaceful shrinking scientist Ant-Man, who communicates with ants? Apprently his movie's on hold, so we can get Norse god Thor's movie, directed by Matthew Vaughn (Stardust, Layer Cake), on June 4, 2010. Captain America's full title will be The First Avenger: Captain America, and his film will be followed by The Avengers in July 2011. Also in the pipeline: Spider-Man: The Musical and Spider-Man the video game (out in fall 2008). [AP Press via Newsarama]
