This article seems a bit Troll-like. Trying to stir things up where there really is no story. I hope io9 doesn't become a "ooh I saw one picture from the filming of a movie therefore here are all of my uninformed assumptions."

I wish I had that fabulous Donald Sutherland TROLL picture at my disposal. It seems highly appropriate for this piece.

Im not worried one bit. Do people forget about the first Iron Man. Bad concept art (a bit), Bad publicity photos. But the finished product was awesome. Im not in anykind of worry for this. Firstly it could be an early shot from the film, this could be his Mark 1 suit. Stark had a few. It could be the suits lower skeletal structure, thus more weaponry, armour will be added later. Hes Russian, the concept of starks riches,fame and well deveoped suit pitted against (in my opinion) a burnt out Russian with a underdeveloped sysem, just might be promising. Rouke is in great shape, I certanly wouldnt spill his pint. He's gonna give stark a hard time and no doubts about it.

Its funny. A few promo/film stills and everyone instantly judges the film on that. Has anyone else tasted an Apple Pie before all th ingredients are in or its cooked. Taste shite yeah, thats because its not finished. Wish peole would stop being sheep and realise its in very good hands.

Am I the only one who thinks that this is a primitive Whiplash 1.0 suit - in the same way that tony's suit went through a couple of iterations in the first movie, maybe they're having the badguy do the same here.

I mean, let's just get a hold of our asscheeks and give out a deep breath and NOT FREAK OUT, Io9.

@Pope John Peeps II: Not at all. And lets also remember that while Stark has had some time and the funds to work on and perfect the suit, it's still relatively new technology. Anyone wanting to duplicate it is going to have a lot of work ahead of them. Also, knock offs are often not as nice or as high quality as the original. Perhaps this is where Justin Hammer, Starks business rival, steps in and offers to help out Vanko/Whiplash with the fundage for further development...?
