    Micronauts were pretty cool - and the mythology wasn't so obtrusive that it kept you from making up your own storylines. The interchangeable nature was the key: like Legos, you could always build something awesome that had nothing to do with the original toys' parts from which it was constructed. Everything had some kind of missile-launcher, too!

    In addition, the design was ahead of its' time for both characters and toys. When I recall these and the Corgi, Matchbox, and GI Joe stuff of the same era, it's easy to see why Kenner went to draw inspiration the Micronauts for its' Star Wars line. #micronauts

    I still have a magnetic Baron Karza, with his evil black magnet horse, whom he can merge with and become an evil black magnet centaur.

    I hated the character Weasely Crusher but I like Wil the actor and he seems like a pretty likable guy. #startrek

    @ManchuCandidate: Wheaton does seem like a pretty cool, genuinely geeky, fun guy. Until recently when I discovered his blog/he started appearing on The Guild I'd always assumed he was a total dweeb a la Wesley Crusher. Turns out I shouldn't have judged him based on the annoying, whiny character he used to play. #startrek

    Actually, the gal who plays her said in an interview for GI Joe (the other movie she was in this summer) that you never hear which ship she is assigned to, so she could have ended up on the Enterprise. #startrek

    @mosquitosBuzzz: @Jason D Sousley: I agree with both of you. I'm thinking perhaps that is why it was cut. Maybe it was put in just to highlight Kirk's womanizing but someone pointed out that the audience could easily take it as subtle racism, which I can understand.

    It blurs the message of the scene either way since it could be either, so it's good it was dropped since its point didn't come across, whatever it was. #startrek
