    @Anekanta: Pretty much my take on it too. Chicks with automatic weapons in a postapocalyptic wasteland: what's not to like?

    Speaking of which... Mrs. Overclock (etc.) wants to see ZOMBIELAND this weekend! Woo hoo!

    @Anekanta: they (chicks) kinda do look anime don't they but some parts of the preview make it look live action...

    does anyone know if its a full length cgi or live action movie?

    As a STAR BLAZERS fan, one thing in the trailer struck me.


    The Yamato deployed an anti-missile/shield? Instead of simply letting the missiles hammer the Yamato thus resulting in the ship on fire and the crew grimacing in pain?


    Well that is a fresh take :p

    I literally fell asleep during the beginning. But then it got really cool.

    I feel like the CG and 2D animation could better match eat other's look, but other than that I liked it.


    Now bring back space pirate Captain Harlock!

    @John Hazard: Harlock was the coolest ever, esp. his original Japanese voice. The English dub actor just didn't have the presence.

    This is why it was sad that Viz Media started officially subtitling Naruto Shippuuden. The original Japanese is so much darker (and better) than the castrated American version.


    The fansubbers understood that a pissed off evil ninja might call his enemy a cocksucker, and somehow I don't see Viz embracing that.


    On the other hand, changing the entire plot...shudder.

    @Gann: The ending pissed off a lot of people in the audience. It seemed like they ran out of money and had to come up with something. That being said, there was definitely a very poignant message in the ending that relied on the cheap feel. I'll be interested to see everyone's take on it.


    One of the most unique films I've seen in a while.
