Well, im still enjoying the show quite a lot. I think Jar Jar had a cold, wich explains why he sounded different (gotta let your mind fill in the gaps). Looking forward to next week. ^_^

Short answer? No. There's nothing that Jar-Jar can't ruin, with the possible exception of any time that he's been used in "Robot Chicken."

@HeeroYuy: I couldn't agree more. The idiot ruined (or helped a lot to ruin) 3 movies and, in context, the whole damn galaxy/Republic.

    Jar-Jar could ruin baconated chocolate.

I highly recommend the episode commentary by Dave Filoni. Explains some of the logic behind this episode well. Take a look:

    [starwars.com]

I actually enjoyed the episode, though I look forward to getting back to the "serious" (by comparison) stuff. At the very least, this signaled that the team is willing to do an entire episode without Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Grievous, or any Jedi.

And now we're left in the interesting position where Nute Gunray is captured and must escape. And we know he inevitably *will*. We've all seen Episode III, after all.

@tophtucker: What, Filoni has to meet his quaterly Jar-Jar quota for Lucas?

I just watched it. It's a shame because Rodia is one of the freshest Star Wars design I've seen on the screen.

Going dweeby, but they can't kill Jar Jar in this series - wouldn't it contradict the movie timeline?

The problem was never Jar-Jar. It's all about Padmé. Think about it.

@dOk: Jar-Jar is more incompetant, and if Bush was in this episode instead of Padme at least he would have actually done something, you know evil and sinister and maybe saved the day or invade Tatooine for its oil. Either way Bush > Jar-Jar
