"If I just... act real wacky, maybe I can let this little squeaker out real quiet-like and no one will notice. The subway smells like shit already anyway, right?"
So, is this a science fiction and fantasy site now? Because the last time I checked, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" dealt with magic and fantasy, not science.
That's like putting a live-action show on "Cartoon Network" and still calling it "Cartoon Network".
I like Jay Baruchel... Montrealer born-and-bred, still lives here. Seems very down to earth. Fun to watch in what he does. He would definitely make me go see the movie, even though it "stars" Nicolas Cage.
Buruchel was great in the Apatow TV series 'Undeclared'. He was also excellent in a very small but important role in Eastwood's 'Million Dollar Baby'. It's great to see him getting some well deserved notoriety.
Nicholas Cage is the bane of modern filmaking. That guy can't act his way outta a moist paper bag.
I don't really get the concept of this movie. Wasn't half the appeal of the original that it was beautifully animated with a wonderful score? Who cares about it, plot wise? It seems like this movie is going to be reduced to a series of zany magical shenanigans.
Fuck this and concentrate on "Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse" Hollywood.
