I'm rollin a few bones up right now in anticipation of seeing a great new original film (finally).Hey it is not a remake and it will be a lot of Z-Grade action fun.
@LittleDragon: Who knows? Who care? Two egos at their apex, promoting UNIVERSAL 1, and the tempers that flared.
I just love how Dolph "gently" pushes back and JC goes 'a sumblin'.... All you need to know about who would REALLY win is there in the final seconds...
@captainkibble: Doesn't matter in the slightest. When the legend becomes truth, print the legend.... and I'm all about the legend. It's like watching The Osborns, where Ozy is an old feeb who can't work the remote control. I can't watch that show simply BECAUSE of the legend of Ozy, that fucker bit the heads of bats on stage, and that's the Ozy I want to remember.
Regarding Dolph & JVCS, set-up or charade, who cares? Those f'ers were fightin'! And that's all I need to know.
This movie reminds of the film "Nemesis" but I'm not sure why. I mean, besides the whole post-apocalyptic mad-max setting, with the hero being a martial arts expert who would rather fight with his feet than with weapons. Other than that, I can't really see any resemblance.
@Jack of all Tirades R.O.A.C.H.: Probably because they're both made by the same director, Albert Pyun, and the lead actor has a heavy European accent. Nemesis is one of my favorite guilty pleasures though. I love it even more than Cyborg. State of the f*ing art, Alex!
@CmdrHunt (aka Clarence Colton): For me, no JCVD movie will every come close to Kickboxer, if only because it produced the best dance-turned-fight scene ever. I just can't watch it without getting happy. He loves to dance!
i remember watching this film a few times years go.
unintelligent film but it is fun, cheesy, and kind of like one of those italian mad max knock-off films..............
