@Pope John Peeps II: Anyone who understands the changeable nature of language and its ability to absorb new phrases and shared cultural phenomenon would tend to disagree with you. I don't mind the word grok, it brings with it more meaning than simple replacement for "understand", an implication of truly taking that understanding to heart.

Of course, I also use the word "frell" in common conversation rather than using a word with its own explicit meanings to simply emphasize my own emotional state.

@Balius: Of course words evolve. But sometimes that evolution comes from truly idiotic sources. Words constitute your mental being. You don't really exist except for the words that comprise you. And if you're taking something famous dumbass Robert Heinlein wrote as a serious concept upon which you want to build your mental structures, then you deserve a slap in the face.
