    The prequel could mean that the Thing could be far more alien and aggressive before it learns to be stealthy...


    Maybe we could explore the alien ship?


    Maybe there's A SECOND type of ALIEN (not a Thing) who had been flying the ship?


    There's still quite a bit of room, but as a big fan of Carpenter's version, I hope it pans out cool.
