Oh man, I want this with a burning yearning. (Yeah, that was lame, but I don't care! That's how much I want to buy this book).
I'm wondering if waiting until he gets a test copy is a better idea though...his blurb page still says that he hasn't seen a hard copy of it so I'm a little leery of buying it right away.

Wow. This is just gorgeous stuff.

I'm thinking of getting it as a children's book for my niece, but the text might be just a little too esoteric. Probably make a beautiful gift for someone, thought.

    Er, like me. HINT.

How do the little protrusions on page 7 work? Do they just jut (that looks really weird written down) out some?

@ThisDudeRufus: It's actually just supposed to be a cutout to show the 10-footed aspect in a weird way- He just drew it to look 3-dimensional.

I defy you to find ANYTHING from the Victorian Era that was not twisted and bizarre.

@russdanger: Repression has a tendancy to bring out the weird. That, and they were in that wonderful place where they were discovering things using an enchanting mixture of new science and old science/mythology/thought processes.

@D'Amicos one good year: If you think Victorian England was repressed, you have no idea. Their pornography was DISGUSTING, their literature was pretty racy, and lots and lots of people got raped all the time.
