The Joker and other villians should look into Managment courses. Especially the one that deal with hiring Henchmen. They are all so bloody rubbish. They get beaten up, stand around and let the good guy sneak in. And tend to fight in groups yet only attack the good guy one at a time.
Granted a Henchmans life is a short one. But if you want good henchmen ,its all about good managment. The Penguin had..er Penguin henchmen. Easily distracted by fish and ice. Poison Ivy got it right with Bane (only in the crappy film), but Alas Joel schumacher made Bane so pathetic he got sidlined as a gunting shite sidekick.
There needs to be online villian managment programs. Get to know your henchmen. what makes them tick.
You might love or hate Austin Powers. But he delved deep into the life of a Henchman. Thats good villian managment. And he's bald!!!
@CoffinDodger: Well, considering you've got to be basically completely insane or a total idiot to ever sign up to be a Joker henchmen, I think he's lucky to get what he has.
I don't know what you're all so miffed about. In the comics/films Batman's over the top crimefighting existence led to over the top villains like The Joker. The simple math would lead me to believe that a real world existence of The Joker would therefor lead to the creation of a real world Batman, so you know, thats pretty cool.
Now if you'll excuse me I have, um, an errand to run with my friend Dick Gra... I mean Joe.
BTW, thanks i09 for covering NYCCC so well. I never had anything against your being west coasty for the most part but this is the first time I've seen the organization make a real effort on an east coast event. Thanks.
Although they're regional, I do wish you had mentioned the Vampire Cowboy Theatre Company which performed tasty fight scenes several times during the con.
@Fanboy185: We were absolutely going to cover Vampire Cowboys but darn that Joss Whedon he took up too much of our squee time. Would it change things if we tracked them down and did another post?

I'm more worried about the people "dressed up" as Dr. Manhattan.
