    "No Future For You" was probably the best arc of the comics. It felt more like the TV show than some of the other arcs anyway.

    I'm not a big fan the recent "Retreat". The idea of Scooby Gang wielding machine guns and rocket launchers is a little ridiculous, but facing a modern army (tanks and all) with them is just weird.

    I would love another spinoff on television. A Giles or Faith centered show would kick ass.

    @octaslash: Yea I tried to get into the first arc of 'Season 8' since it first came out but couldn't sit through it.

    It was kind of boring and didn't feel like a continuation of the t.v. series.

    Also they keep bringing back old characters and villains I had totally forgotten about which got confusing. #buffythevampireslayer

    @octaslash: omg the Giles series rumors have been floating around since at least 2001 - LET THEM GO. and Faith? We had that show, it was called DollHouse. Think about the parallels.

    Troubled Past including brushes with the law? Faith? Check. Echo? Check.

    Recent death of a very significant male influence which changed her life substantially? Faith? Check (mayor) Echo? Check (boyfriend)

    Strong desire to run away and just forget the past?
    Check. Check.

    Impulsive and somewhat reckless? Creative - thinks outside the box? Check. Check.

    Close relationship with evil mastermind?
    Check. Check.

    I think it's OBVIOUS that the Dollhouse is where Faith went for her recuperation. Just look at all the similarities - and heck, the two characters even LOOK alike. You can't tell me that is just coincidence.

    (I am pretty sure Angel was getting a pretty large 'referral fee' for all the troubled people he sent to Adele. All those people traumatized by demonic violence who couldn't deal with reality as they suddenly discovered it to be. The fees are the only way to explain how he was able to afford the upkeep/taxes/utilities to maintain an entire hotel in LA) #buffythevampireslayer

    Let Buffy end. The series had a premise, a philosophy, and reached the full arc of every important character by the end of season 6. Everything since then has only detracted from the brilliance of the first five seasons. #buffythevampireslayer

    Whew! Dodged that bullet with your misleading title.

    Motion comics are stupid. Plus how are they even remotely a real project? All he needs is some animators (and not very good ones) and he can wash his hands of it. Its already written.

    I thought you meant that he was actually going to film a web centric version of season 8. Which would suck on a whole different level.
    A. I've already said multiple times i'd rather see new Whedon than recycled Whedon.

    B. The season 8 comics weren't that great. I followed the show religiously and I've got to say I was a bit lost when season 8 started. Lesbian Buffy would be a nice (but weird) touch on screen. #buffythevampireslayer

    @tande04: motion comics make my eyes bleed. if i want crappy half-a***ed 'animation' where the 'animation' is basically digitized paperdolls I'll go watch a power point presentation (smoother transitions). Hell, even Clutch Cargo had better animation than what they are calling 'motion comics'.

    I hope that Whedon gets onto making another Buffy series in another town. I mean he's on Dollhouse and that by io9's articles looks like its on the brink of cancellation. Serenity was awesome but we never saw a Firefly rebirth. So why not go back to something he knows and clearly loves. He doesnt need to get involved in this comic, its got to be his heart talking.

    Buffy is sucsesful, it made it to the end. The spin off was just as popular. It brought Vamps and monsters back onto the scene and in a good way (not like this twishite)!! And most of the characters were left open for a plausable return!!

    I cant see any studio turning down this cash cow OR giving it any less than a 5 season contract. The DVD'S and videos made a packet alone. The merch...I dont wanna think!!!!

    It just seems like a good time to strike again while the Twilight (ahem) iron is hot! #buffythevampireslayer

    As I said four days ago...... four 'effin days ago, people! [io9.com] When io9 reported about the existence of the [www.rossumcorporation.com] website (and I actually went and looked at the ruddy thing):

    There are 22 of Rossum Corporations Regional Offices (out of a claimed total of 48) listed under 'Locations' at [www.rossumcorporation.com] , the last one of which is Akranes.

    Akranes is a small seaport in west Iceland [en.wikipedia.org] . It is situated on the far side of the Hvalfjorour ("Whale-fjord") fjord [en.wikipedia.org] from the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik.
    Hvalfjorour fjord was the site of a major whaling station located on a former WW2 British and American naval base, until it was shut down in 1982, the year given for Rossum's start of operations, in 'Rossum Corporation responds to US Senate Investigation' at the website (1982 is also the start date of the copyright of each webpage's text).
    In 1998, a 5.7km connecting tunnel from Akranes to Reykyavik (the Hvalfjorour Tunnel hyyp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hvalfj%C3%Br%C3%B0ur_Tunnel ), that passes 165m directly below the base, was opened.
    There are photographs of parts of a tunnel complex shown on the 'Mission' and 'Vision' webpages.
    Iceland and Reykjavik in particular, is the preeminent world centre of research to identify genes associated with particular diseases using population studies [en.wikipedia.org] , due to the unparalleled level of genealogical data available on its small genetically isolated population (in norse cultures, everbody and all their ancestors have a name that describes their lineage).
    Eliza Dushku and the inhabitants of the Dollhouse are described as 'DNA-altered' [www.hollywoodreporter.com] .
    On the 'About us' page of the website there is a banner: "New for 2008 - the Rossum Corporation offers exclusive 5-year paid internships for candidates of superior genetic disposition. Contact a Rossum Human Recruitment office near you for more details".

    Now using the Client login details so kindly provided below by @princess_k for [www.spectrin.com] Username: sarak Pass: nomdeplume , it is possible to view 'Sara's Notes' for 'Recent Project: Reykjavik/Akranes Dates: Oct 23-26':
    "Drove to Akranes. Lovely small town on coast. Crossed the Hvalfjorour Tunnel. Noticed high number of service tunnels and vents."
    (It also says someone had disappeared and "reappeared claiming to be a soldier and was able to gun down a wild fox (fox=Fox Broadcasting. Geddit?) with uncanny accuracy." So I suspect this and the Rossum's website is the product of Whedon's people, not Fox's PR dept., specifically his tech wunderkind and internet denizen, Felicia Day.)

    This supports my previous summary that the Rossum Corporation has been running a genetic research and experimentation operation from Hvalfjorour since its inception in '82, built a major underground complex there in the 90's and has been harvesting the fruits of its labours since '08 (This probably includes those 'recruited' for the Dollhouses, who were 'DNA-altered candidates raised in 'the wild').

    To top this off, Summer Glau's Dollhouse 'tech whiz' character is called Bennett Halverson (Hvalerson! Geddit?), so it's likely she and most of the 'tech-geniuses' (Topher) are also products of this program. [Ms.Glau's father is of German descent and Halver is also a town in Germany [en.wikipedia.org] , so the name Halverson (Son of Halver) is probably a double-play, as Dichen Lachman's character's 'real' name, Priya Tsetsang (explained on the 'Epitaph One' commentary) is that of Ms.Lachman's mother's family's hometown in Tibet).

    There is more that is apparent from the physical appearance of Bennett Halverson that indicates her role in the coming (episodes 12 and 13 of season 2?) apocalypse [io9.com] , but 'they' haven't done an online teaser hinting at it, so I won't either. Yet.

    I haven't started on the rest of this reveal. Yet. But the Spectrin founder's names and the "original offices in Bridge Street, Lower Manhattan" hint, looks promising, so......

    Also, in 'Breaking News'........

    "You're adopted!" and "There is no Santa Claus!"
