Hulk Doomed?
Creative infighting between Edward Norton and Marvel, and weak buzz about the first trailer, have many observers predicting the Incredible Hulk will be the summer's biggest bomb. Even Stan Lee, the Hulk's co-creator, doesn't think it'll do as well as Iron Man, which has supreme buzz and fans drooling over every clip. You can stop hunting for Kryptonite. That rumor that Hayden "Annie" Christensen is playing Superman in the troubled new Justice League movie... is just a rumor. Christensen's reps denied the report, which had been based on what Justice League: Mortal actor Adam Brody supposedly told a woman in a bar. The really shocking news, though, is that the embattled JLA movie is still moving forward. [Cinemablend]

Monsters, Browncoats Invade This Week's Comic Stories
Okay, so this week's comics don't have Sarah Michelle Gellar doing the [SPOILER] with a hot young [SPOILER], but that doesn't mean Joss Whedon fans need to be sad. In fact, it's time for River Tam fans to rejoice. Plus, the decline and fall of Frankenstein's Monster is something, right...? Yeah, I know. You'd rather have Buffster in the buff. But take a look at tomorrow's haul anyway. You just may be surprised. More »

What The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen Movie Could Have Been
The film version of Alan Moore's graphic novel The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is probably the worst movie adaptation of all time. It failed to capture the spirit of the graphic novel, didn't stay true to the characters, and devolved into just another vehicle for Sean Connery. But take heart. Check out this trailer for Tarsem Singh's The Fall, which is everything League could have been. The flick has been playing all over the world, and will finally be coming to the U.S. in March. More »

New Spoilers For Justice League Movie
If we had a superhero for every mutually contradictory plot synopsis we've read for George Miller's Justice League movie, we'd have enough for three super-teams. But the latest League plot info supposedly comes from a casting notice, and sounds just dumb enough to be real. We also have spoilers for Wolverine, Lost and Torchwood. Plus a preview of Joss Whedon's next issue of Runaways. More »

How The Justice League Movie Could Still Be Saved
We all felt relieved when the Justice League movie was put on ice, maybe for good. After all, everything we'd heard about the movie's storyline sounded hokey and convoluted, with way too many random plots from the comics. (Not to mention the kiddie cast.) But putting together a JLA that doesn't feel scattershot would be a massive challenge for any writer. Here are some ideas for making it work. More »
justice league

Justice League Movie Gets Bitchslapped
The writers strike is forcing executives to actually consider some of the rash decisions they've made. Case in point, the Justice League movie. Before the holidays there were announcements of cast members, chatter about the shooting location, a script that needed some work, and even rumblings from the Christian Bale/The Dark Knight camp that they weren't happy about another Batman hitting the screen. Looks like Warner Bros. has finally listened and is putting the skids down on the movie, hard. More »
Kiwi Togs For Justice Leaguers
Producer Barrie Osborne let the news slip that the New Zealand based WETA Workshop will be designing the costumes for the upcoming Justice League movie. Additional WETA Digital will be working on some of the digital effects, if they have time. While the costume part should lead to some awesome results (we can't wait to see what the new Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman costumes will look like), it's the "if they have time" for the digital effects part that alarms us.
Harvey Milk Is The New Kryptonite
Bryan Singer probably won't direct the next Superman movie after all, because he's too busy with his Tom Cruise Nazi movie, followed by his Harvey Milk biopic. Also, George Miller's Justice League movie is probably delayed until after the writers' strike, which means it may actually have a real script. But there's one piece of good news: Warners is already talking about a third Christopher Nolan-helmed Batman movie. [Variety, via Superhero Hype]
