The comic takes place in "the real world," and is about a comic book geek who dresses up as a superhero, fights crime and becomes a celebrity. It's very "My Dad just doesn't understand — so I will pummel you to death with this night stick." It's hard to imagine Mintz-Plasse in such a violent movie, but if anyone can pull it off, it's McLovin. Click through for more Kick-Ass news.

While there are no pics of the Red Mist, just yet I can tell you that he's an angry teen who is related to the city's biggest mobster (hello perks) plus he's a bad guy. In other news, Chloe Moretz from Dirty Sexy Money has been cast in Kick-Ass. Described as a "potty-mouth" by THR who is mean with a ninja sword.

The movie begins filming this fall.
