    Its not that bad for an audition tape... he doesn't have that much to work with. Russell was probably a little too young and that worked against him.
    Obviously, Harrison Ford stood out as the better choice. #starwars

    @k4man: Has anybody found the original Walken audition? Because of the Spacey thing, a lot of people don't believe that Walken really was one of the contenders for Han. #starwars

    This shows exactly why Ford was such a wonderful stroke of luck for parts IV-VI: he managed to robe the cheesiness of Lucas´ dialogues in charming irony, thus putting the movie back on the ground whenever it threatened to completely lose itself in its own weird ideas.
    If I-III had provided a sarcastic Han Solo-like character, these episodes wouldn´t have been the complete fail that they were in the end.
    "Midichlorians, huh? What the heck are you talking about, you deranged mage? Okay, I say let´s raise these critters in a bottle and vaccinate people with this stuff, we could make a fortune!" #starwars
