I, for one, am OK with this. Yeah, I want the answers. But I would much rather have some unanswered questions than have everything answered with a great deal of half-assery. #lost
@odinbearded: Agreed. Answer the big questions (which they should have good answers for) and leave some hints for the other stuff. The fans are going to debate it all anyway so unanswered questions are better than half-assed answers. #lost
@Ghost_in_the_Machine: And not every question has to be answered with a philosophical truth bisected by a conspiracy.
Q: "Where did he go for ten minutes???? OMG!!!"
A: He was taking a dump.
Since the creators decided that Libby's nuthouse story would be simple and down-to-earth, I'm glad they didn't force it in. Resolution would be nice, but we've had experience with forced small stories that don't advance the major plotlines.
@ophmarketing: There was a post from one Furlan's major fans on the Fuselage, years ago, right when Furlan was leaving the show, that indicated she was unhappy filming in HI with the limited use they made of her character. It was promptly removed by the moderators, but there may have been some truth to it. #lost
To be fair, they've already basically explained what Rousseau's deal was. I feel like her arc has been sufficiently explored. Not a dealbreaker for me, I can live without more Furlan.
On the other hand, if they're doing the whole "what if 815 landed" thing it'll be tough not having a Michael. Let's hope we at least get a final Walt appearance. His connection to the island is one mystery that absolutely needs explaining #lost
@Blue_Thark: Unless they really planned all this out from the first year and pre-filmed Walt scenes for the final season, I don't see how they can show him as though the plane landed. He'd be what, 10 or 11? And now he looks like he's about 25, even though he's probably 17 or 18. #lost
@theysaidwhat: I wasn't implying he should appear in the "what if" scenario - without Michael that wouldn't make much sense anyway. But they should bring him back if it continues in the "present" timeline. They've already said they'd be explaining his accelerated growth rate.
I guess I am going to be standing in the Hose Jobers line.
We have how many fucking stories about Kate's boring slo-mo story, and you can't get it together to tell one short half an hour explanation of who Libby is?
Remember when they were telling us about how they had a stop date to "Complete the story".
@NerD: Blattella: Libby was in the mental asylum because she had a breakdown after losing her husband. That is why she readily gave Desmond her boat. What else needs 'splaining?
@NerD: Blattella: yeahhh kate is pretty unlikable at this point.
but i dont get what the big deal with libby is. we know she lost her husband and gave desmond his boat. we know she was in hurley's mental hospital. and we know she got shot. thats enough for me. #lost
@GreyHammer: her husbands name was dave, thats where she got the boat for desmond, now what was the name of hurleys imaginary friend? dave. that really shouldve been fleshed out more. #lost
@NerD: Blattella: I think part of the problem is that "LOST" has created really wonderful secondary characters, many of whom don't get enough screen time as the "major players," some of whom just seem like big balls of pathos and boring back stories. Juliet and Sawyer were the exceptions, for me, but, well. I guess one of those isn't going to pan out so well in terms of screen time, right? #lost
Still, the real mystery is why BKV isn't in the writers room this year. I think that could cause a big drop in quality (his episodes were consistently my favorites).

I am just so tired of Kate's story, and want to know a little more backstory.
I don't know, I just wish they had made a defined story arc at the beginning and stuck to it. #lost
