I know that Daft Punk is doing the music is in the new Tron, but I hope for a Kavinsky remix. The zombie dude has a particular affinity for combining 80s-style new wave with vehicular techno.
Its innevitable that the program would upgrade with the times. Man that new lightcycle looks sweet. But why the safety issues. Has the game become more public, why is Bridges overlooking things.....in the future is it a massive coperate TV game and thats why the saftey regs are in?? Ohhh the questions.
All I know is it looks epic already, and thats just the early test footage. Yummy. Bring on Tron Legacy very very quickly.
Now I want to see Captain Slow race a lightcycle against a jet. Afterwards, the Stig will take it out to the track for a time trial. Damn you Emmett for making my carefully constructed worlds collide!
@Annalee Newitz: While I love my motorcycle (a 1987 Suzuki Savage named 'Ivanova'), I wouldn't shed a single tear while I shamelessly traded her in for the 2010 Tron Legacy Lightcycle. :)
@diverguy: Is it actualy camel toe if it's on a guy? I wonder if there is a name for the dude version. Cause it's actually more like Joe Camel's face, if anything.
@tande04: technically it wasn't a trailer. It was a screen test. Unless you're talking about a different thing and I'm making myself look like an idiot. Which is equally as possible.
@Jesse Astle: Its a little from column A little from column B.
I think when it was first shown off at comic con in 2008 it was just shown as a fx test but when they showed it again after that and started distributing it you'd call it at least a teaser I'd think.
One of my worries is that this new Tron wont be radical enough. Take a look at the TRS-80 chassis design and compare it to the new Thermaltake case. Yeah, that's just superficial and not what's going on inside, but you get the idea, computers have come a long way since the early 80's and the Tron world should reflect that.

Envision this with lightcycles!

Knowing those left coast hippies, they'll be all over these things. Greener than even being powered by Ed Begley, Jr.'s sense of self-satisfaction.

All looks the same as it did in the very first teaser trailer to me.
Biggest difference I can see is that it isn't Tron Legacy, just Tron. Which doesn't make much sense.
