I met a woman who claimed that her cat saved her life...apparently this cat had never bitten anyone and had started biting her boob. She was actually considering getting rid of the cat (because of the incessant boob biting) when she thought that maybe she should get a mammogram. Turned out that she had cancer, right in the spot that the cat was biting in. After she was treated, the cat never bit her boob again.

I looked at her like she was a goggled eyed freak, but she was perfectly sincere in her story.

@pkittie: Maybe the cat gave her cancer by biting her boob. Did she ever think of that. They're vicious mysterious creatures that can't be trusted.

@OW-Holmes: I saw that article on TV. They had a special including dogs who can sense seizures in their owners before they happen in addition to dogs who sniffed out cancer. I believe the seizure dogs. The cancer dogs not so much, b/c I believe it's like "psychics". You forget all the times they rubbed somewhere else(misses), but remember the "hits". I wonder how many times the dog stuck his nose in someones crotch, as they are want to do, and those people DIDN't have crotch cancer.

@DTV-Compliant_GitEmSteveDave: I was doing a Paramedic clinic at a local hospital about a year ago and a patient came in with this German Shepard (Yes, the dog was brought with him into the ER, and it was scaring the hell out of one of the medics). It was trained to alert him and others when he was about to have a seizure. Sure enough, while I was talking to him and getting his info, the dog barked. The guy said "I've got about 30 seconds" - and, almost like clockwork, he goes into another seizure!

It wasn't cool for the guy, but I had never heard of seizure dogs before, and seeing it do it's thing in action was amazing.

@AngryEddy: The Ex rasies Seeing Eye puppies. Her first was a German Shepard, and it always made me laugh when she would tell stories of the dog sitting under a table, and after 30 minutes, someone would notice him and start freaking out.
