Can anyone recommend a good shop for Free Comic Book Day in NYC? I went to Hub Comics in Somerville MA last year, and they were great - no line, could take as many as you wanted, plenty of stock left later in the day.
But I'm concerned that NYC shops are more likely to have lines and one-per-person deals. AND I can't get there till after 2pm. So anyone have a recommendation for me?
I wish I could get enthused about comics again... I used to have a large collection. The story lines (for me at least) are so warped and twisted from their original iterations I'd rather not try and force myself into something when I know I'll be mad later.
Part of my problem is I just watched X-Men Origins:Wolverine... and stayed for the deadpool teaser at the end... and was not impressed by the overall story. It was pretty too look at though :P
@dMo: I got more serious about returning to comics about a year ago, and I don't even bother with the ongoing superhero titles anymore. Maybe it's my age, but I just can't be bothered with all of these crossovers, alternate realities and convoluted continuities that get reset every few years or so. I've been reading the self-contained stuff -- 100 Bullets, Y, Ex Machina, Locke & Key, Girls --and picking up new titles based largely on who's writing it.

Sheesh.
