Considering that the Earth has been cooling since '98 and has lost all of the temperature increase from the last hundred years, why are they worried?

Am I the only one who doesn't care if their coral reef goes a few feet under water? The coral will be otherwise fine (otherwise, of course, excluding ocean acidification, overfishing, and global dimming).

It's one city's worth of people crammed into one city's worth of land. The city may have to be relocated. Boo hoo.

Certainly the Israel/Palestine model would be the first one I would turn to.

@92BuickLeSabre: My thought exactly..."and how'd that work out?" At least nobody's under water...until they force Israel into the sea that is.

This is the same government that attempted to sue the US for ocean levels rising. It's all drama to get tourism dollars... and try to make the US look bad, though that's not allowed anymore since Obama got elected.

@Fall-Apart: They won't HAVE to make us look bad, we'll do it ourselves.

I remember seeing this awhile back. It's a nightmare scenario, but at least they are planning ahead. If they were the US they'd just wait until the water was in the living room then scream bloody murder about it.
