shame she didnt get infected in the book or the book on tape,shed be slightly less off a parasite then

I have a love hate thing going with WWZ. On the one hand I love the possibilities the premise opens up and on the other I have some trouble suspending my disbelief on this one (something I usually have no problem with). Something about shambling zombie horde vs. the most advanced military in the world just doesn't sit right with me. I just can't stop thinking that one pass with a B-52 could wipe out any advancing host of Zeds. No fuss, no muss.

Zombies work better with the outbreak type scenario, not so much with the head to head us vs. them scenario. The disease is frightening, the actually creatures not so much.

@Harrison_Bergeron: Brooks kind of covered that in WWZ though, didn't he? They tried all the fancy technology and nukes and everything, but it simply wasn't as effective as a bullet in the brain. Not to mention the fallout and casualties that resulted from blowing up cities and everything. Casualties, of course, turning into more Zaks.

@Harrison_Bergeron: He mentions specifically that a lot of artillery and high yield explosive are based on the concussive force destroying internal organs and limbs.

That doesn't work to well on zombies.

OftenNot makes a great point about how this would be awesome as a mini-series, but the fact that it's being put to screen AT ALL is amazing!

Why why why isn't this an 8-part HBO mini-series?

I would kill to have this be presented in the Band of Brothers style. The book is so dense with fascinating stories and I can't fathom getting all of the detail from the book in to one 2 hour movie.
