methinks a large part of whats taking out shopping malls is quite simply there's to many of them in the first place.. now it's down to survival of the fittest - those that can keep a big needed store,(wal-mart, a major supermarket etc), in them survive. those that can't die off.
I wouldn't place to much emphasis on the internet for mall's.
I think malls have started going down hill because they have begun to suck. Being a guy most of the stores are not targeted towards me and those that are are too expensive. If I can go somewhere else and get the same product or the same level of quality for less money than that is where I am going. Technology don't have anything to do with killing malls except for the arcade.
I always enjoy it when somebody says "The first season was the best, they never should have made more." If they hadn't made more, the same people would be decrying the early death of another great show - like Firefly and Farscape - at the hands of the evil networks that just don't care about the viewers.
Now I'm not saying Fox killed Firefly because they saw season two and decided it sucked but just try to remember that not everything is made to hold up over 130 episodes. Heroes is doing us a service by proving that.
@DrEmilioLizardo: Whoah, now hold on a minute. Are you implying that people's opinions on the internet are poorly thought out and inconsistent?! Well now I've heard everything.
And How. I've been inches away from dropping this show and I would've if the ad for this arc wasn't so good. If they manage to fuck up a "gimme" prejudicial persecution storyline then I don't know how they can do anything right.
they should have take a clue from japanese shounen manga not american comics:
"power is in DNA" how can a protein make you read others mind??? power should have come from their chakra/aura and they should develop their own power step by step, realizing techniques to use it at full power
they should be fighting more, taking down huge monster bosses, making combinations with their powers....of course all of this is mixed with the relationships /high school / university setting......that would have been fun
@computor: They should also have entire episodes devoted to the heroes wandering through random fields for hours at end, killing blobs, vampire bats and the occasional dire wolves, all so they can slowly gain the strength and experience necessary to fight the boss monster.
Then, just as they're about to devote the boss, he'll shout out, "Behold my true form!" and become an even bigger monster.
@Plague: well they could spin every individual character's story arc off into its own series and continue to have different writers be responsible for each arc, all the while attempting to maintain the facade that every story is taking place in the same universe. might infringe on the copyright marvel has on that organizational structure, however.
You know, I'm surprised that this doesn't get brought up more often. When I read that in Kring's interview my jaw dropped. How does one make a show in which half the writers have no clue as to what the other half is doing?
@TheFinalCylon: yes, bringing in someone from BSG will help fix the problems of too many characters, too many relationships, too many side plots, and too many non-permenant deaths...

Then, Nathan can switch sides or something.

There needs to be a cohesive voice for the show instead of the babble that is going on now.
