I dont care whos behind the story!! If the devolpment team is crap, its going to be crap. The first Iron man game was absolutly horrid!! The physics were all off, the levels sparce at best and the graphics piss poor. When I invest 40 quid in a game I expect a good movie tie in on a next-gen console..not a piece of shit like that. This game will proabably suck hairy balls. The film will be great..but the game will suck!!
The only movie tie in ive played recently that was any good..'Wolverine Origins', slightly scuppred by set physics, but the fight/combo system is great and the story builds on the film not just rips it off. Oh..and an awesome Sentinel fight!! Batman Arkham Asylum looks good too.

@CoffinDodger (If the typos crap. Blame my...: I'm gonna nit pick a little here and say Arkham Asylum (which looks awesome and will be buying) isn't a movie tie-in, but a whollay separate game based on the Batman character, which is why it won't suck :)
Hooray for the story, but the real question is will this game play better than the first movie's video game tie-in, which was a horrible disappointment. I know licensed games are almost always crap, but come on, let's break the mold and surprise people already...
@AngryEddy: I don't know how long a video game takes to create, but movies take a really long time.
If someone at Marvel knows that a movie is in the works, they should just commission the game when the movie gets greenlit. (seeing as how the #1 complaint is that the game is rushed to meet the film's release date)
What's the worst that could happen? The movie gets dropped and they are stuck with a quality video game built on a highly bankable franchise?
@AngryEddy: I was just at the store and took a peek at the cheap games shelf- I had no idea they made "Peter Jackson's King King: The Movie: The official video game"
Seriously, I looked twice because I couldn't believe it. What the hell could that game even be about?
When are people going to realize that their way of life is not threatened by homosexuality? Please remember in California (and a few other states) gay marriage was legal for quite some time and ....guess what? Nothing fucking happened. Business went on as usual. You don't believe in gay marriage? fine, don't get one. It's really that effing simple. No one is trying to change religious laws and doctrine. They are trying to merely have the same legal rights as heterosexual unions. So, here's a thought, do away with the term 'marriage' as a legal statement. Again, it's that simple. You wanna get married? then get a civil union license and go see a preacher.
And, btw, if you support gay marriage stop comparing gays getting married to rapists, pedophiles and other deviants. All of those deviants mentioned can have BOTH preferences and all of those deviants are based on severe trauma. There are gay people out there that have perfectly well rounded homes and they're still gay. No sexual abuse, still gay. Not to mention that the homosexual unions up to debate today are of a consensual nature.
Consensual. As in, adults with private lives.
So please, before you start telling people what marriages they can and cannot have... kindly shut up cause it has absolutely nothing to do with you. (and it's not going to lessen the chances that your child, or you might be gay)
I'm not knocking homosexuality, I don't like it nor will I ever support it, if you're one, that's your choice. I'm not hating you for your choice, the same way I don't hate a porn star like Sasha Grey for doing what she does, I simply don't support it, but I find her blatant disregard for morality to be intriguing (is she faking it or is she oblivious? only time will tell). Alan Moore in a lot of his writings, made it same that comic book writers have a definitive (not moral) duty to defend the next great cause: the supposedly unsupported homosexual elements within our society. Yet the main stream media is already on the side of these so called bashed ones. If I were to go to hollywood with a theme contrary to what supports their agenda, my project would be shelved and i'd be shunned, yet the majority of people don't support it (though hollywood claim to represent them), but those in the media is oblivious to the numbers or the morality of the masses, and they simply say we're uptight and we're wrong and the minority is correct. Comics the same way, as a kid, i think the canadian super hero from xforce or x factor was gay. Now it's the norm to have more if not several gay characters, fine, I'm not a hater, just don't pee in my kool aid and tell me it's apple juice. if you're hungry i'll feed you, thirsty i'll give you someting to drink, just don't expect for us to be buddy buddy, or for me to say i'll buy x-men because it supports the next great cause civil rights leaders need to fight for.
@Jamal Dominic Barr: oh and dont worry, hollywood's idea of morality will collapse onto itself. and ur right that artists think they are fighting for the underdog lol which is funny. being anti-gay is the underdog. liberals need to think about that.
Yes you're the underdog. That must be why you get called a 'faggot' when you go to school. Or can't get married, or can't adopt children in certain states, or fear getting killed in parts of this country.
@Evlsushi: you must be talking about me, because all these things happened to me, in fact i think they happened to everyone. see, dont think gays are any special. its life. we are not all the same.
Some of these comments pain me terribly. I am too cowardly to engage in a flame war yet feel compelled to speak my peace.
Who among you out there has ever fallen in love with somebody totally "wrong" for you? Your friends and family tried their best to dissuade you, tried their best to get you on the right path. Okay, maybe they were right. That conniving bitch/bastard totally had to go, but I'm willing to bet that some of you out there found just the right partner despite the protests, your Groddamned soulmate.
Sexuality is not a choice. We all find the Love that is right for us. How can anyone condemn the possibility for joy and fulfillment for an other? How does anyone else's happiness diminish your own?
I guess all the right-wingers and religious fundamentalists believed that if they outlawed gay marriage, then the gays would all go away. The Mormon church spent massive amounts supporting it. I saw several billboards supporting Prop. 8 that were paid for by local churches. Every time I saw that I wondered how many people they could have fed with the money they spent on the sign.
@MinervaAutolycus: We could balance the state budget if we repealed the tax exemption on every church that gave money to that. Think of the property tax money alone!
@Evil Tortie's Mom: Given that separation of church and state is accepted as a valid concept, we actually should revoke the tax-exempt status of any church that contributes to or participates in a political campaign of any kind.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints encouraged its members to donate money to the campaign, but it gave no money itself towards it.
Although the LDS Church will never support a political candidate, it's just the same as a church or minister pledging their support for a political candidate. Perhaps you favour preventing private citizens from donating their own money towards political causes?
When 90% of the money donated to the 'yes on 8' campaign comes from institutions that are supported by religious institutions, it becomes a problem. While on paper a church doesn't directly fund a proposition but, when a church supports a group which, in turn, supports Prop 8 then it's a thinly veiled religious cause. Look into their funding and the money trail. It all leads to religious institutions.
Only 51% of the population of San Francisco bothered to vote in the last election. If Prop 8 was so important to my fellow citizens, why the fuck did so many stay home?
Actually this is just starting to come into light. Anti-prop 8'ers are saying that the campaign was handled poorly and not advertised sufficiently. Honestly, the propositions didn't get nearly as much media attention until after the damned election.
Also, Prop 8 "The Musical" didn't come out until, like, a week later.
The awesome thing about x-men, imo is that it always has and continues to reflect real prejudices, injustices, and irrational fears - from the Friends of Humanity, to Mutant Registration Acts, to the MRDs, to the parallels between Charles Xavier and passivist means of change (MLK, Harvey Milk, Ghandi) and Magneto (Malcolm X, etc) and a more militant approach to a resolution - it's just awesome and remains among my favorite series.
@BeccaSaurus Rex: I still don't buy the whole Magneto/Malcolm comparison. Yea, X was militant, but he was never a terrorist who hurt his own or others. Magneto was more of the camp "We're better than humans, they don't deserve to live. "By any means necessary" didn't not mean going to war on your own kind.
After he repeals Prop 8 with a new story can he also write a story about the economy getting better? Oh and maybe one about all those ladies up above on a madcap mission to make love to a new Marvel character named Darrison Gean?
Picking on Gays and Lesbians is pretty low and also forcing your own beliefs on the rest of the world is just as low.I have some gay and lesbian friends and 2 lesbian cousins and they are the same as we heteros all are.We are all human beings.
People that bash these folks should get tried for hate crimes.......
Um yeah. Explain to me how the gender confused are not forcing their beliefs on everyone else? I'm going to have to start to pay welfare for them, I'm going to be subjected to more and more homosexual behaviour in films and popular media. Sorry, but the gender confused have no rights to marriage. Never have.
@Grey_Area: Apparently he doesn't have to, since it failed. More like you have to get used to his way of thinking. Maybe if more of us actually listened to each other instead of automatically assuming everyone who disagrees with us is a "bigot" or a "lefty moonbat," we'd be better off.
Anyway, forget it; go back to your stereotyping and don't mind me.
I think you should actually look up what 'stereotype' means, cause sir, you really missed it.

You really thing Grey_Area had a silly uneducated response? Equating 'gender confused' and homosexuals should be a pretty good tip off to how a person like Worfor thinks.
@NerD!!!: Yeah I never got those ads (other than a brilliant strategy, if still an outright lie, by the opposition.) I mean I never got that people fell for it since the prop was to STOP what was already allowed and schools weren't teaching it and the government wasn't shoving it down our throats.
@Plague: Here I am living in Newsom's San Francisco. Yah, he has much doucheness, but he has done some real good for this town. That unfortunate soundbite will probably ruin his chances for higher office. That was his Howard Dean moment. Pity poor.
