@WestMantooth: That's where you'd be wrong. Oh so wrong.
Remember the outrage over "rape scenes" in GTA4? It came from people who heard of GTA4 and obviously never touched it. Same with the sex scenes in Mass Effect.
My problem with Lionsgate is most of the time, they don't promote their films really well. If this movie went to a larger distributor, then there might be a bigger push in advertising, spreading the word out about this film. Otherwise, most people won't even know this film was even made.
I wonder how much of the comics this movie will cover. At least up to the sixth volume (all I've read so far), I'm not really seeing any satisfying cliff-hanger or story-arc-ender plotlines.
@Darklighter: Read: "We are a generic comic-craze cash-in with comic book hacks involved in the production of the shitshow."
Seriously though, if Kick-Ass hits, who here honestly thinks Millar won't pack up and haul ass to Hollywood permanently? Which is probably not a bad idea, since he's probably out of ideas. How many more "The villains all team up and take overOMGwhataconcept" books can one man write?
@JimBonJovi: The film was in preproduction almost as soon as the comic started shipping. Millar's already packed up and headed out to Hollywood. Never mind the fact that he's only decent when he's writing other people's characters.

What the heck is "potential racism"? Is it like potential energy?
.
Why is a 10-year-old being vulgar any worse than anyone else being vulgar?

They don't care if they're judging before trying.

America is way more hung up on sex issues than violence.
GTA4 was a game that everyone could get access to. Movies(even with torrents) are seen as something that you have to go through some effort to see.

Not to mention she could probably pay for college by her 8th kill.

You mean Millar's off the project?

yeah, but one of them is probably Millar himself, which means this movie will probably come out in 2034.
