I'm surprized I couldn't find any clips of the Zik-Zak blipvert on youtube. I did, however, find an awesome clip of Max Headroom interviewing Sting on his original Chanel 4 chat show:

Why the hell hasn't there been an official DVD release for Max Headroom yet? Is somebody at ABC still holding a grudge?

I'd be willing to pay ungodly sums of money for a DVD set that included both seasons, plus some of the more interesting 'Max Headroom Show' stuff, and whatever footage they have laying around from the episode they were in the early stages of filming when the series got canned.

@twDarkflame: What? It's illegal/immoral to force somebody to do something they may not want to do via the subconscious? Never! Sadly it is probably good of you to point this out, seeing as part of the audience that reads IO9.com probably did not know this. However, to not quite hit the subliminal level, they should at least flash a few things on the screen during the Superbowl that leaves the audience wondering if they just saw what they think they saw. Like perhaps an image of a penis.
