I kind of hope there's no Smith & Jones this time; if it didn't have them as star power, it would have to survive on plot, acting, etc. That might make them write a decent movie. #meninblack
And here was I hoping Will Smith would carry on appearing in terrible adaptations of genre classics. I was betting on him doing an adaptation of Asimov's Foundation or a sassy remake of 2001 next. #meninblack
I enjoyed the first one, in spite of my general loathing for Will Smith.
I'm onboard, as long as they stick with a more straight-forward "Jay and Kay must track down and blow the crap out of a dangerous intergalactic criminal before he can complete his evil plan" type of story, instead of going all emo on us again.
Personally, I prefer my Kay more like the original from the Lowell Cunningham comic books; an amoral bastard with no sense of humor (except when it comes to neuralizing backwoods hicks and treating his partners like cannon fodder)
Well, I read a while back that both Smith and Jones pitched the idea to Sony personally; they both loved the series and wanted it to continue. While the people here are thinking it's some sort of April Fools' Day joke, I honestly don't think it is.

I think Smith and Jones loved the CASH they got paid from the series, and want to continue getting PAID.
