I think it's so cute (to a point) how the DH haters feel the need to reiterate how much they hate DH every time there's a post about it. Guys, we get it--you don't like the show. Well then don't read the articles if you hate it so much. It is enough to declare "I HATE THIS SHOW" once or twice and then move on to the next thing rather than annoying the people who DO like the show with constant hater-isms every time there is a DH blog.
Or maybe secretly, you DO like the show, which is why you can't seem to stay away from the DH posts. Amirite? No? Then shoo fly, go away.
At any rate, I welcome Summer to the Dollhouse and I hope she enjoys her stay at Whedon's House of Hotties and Horrors. This is probably the only show on TV that can intelligently discuss sex slavery/corporate evil without hopping on a soapbox in order to push the point home. Instead, it glorifies it in a mocking guise of harmless sci-fi action/adventure--and that's really what's cool about the whole thing. Who'd have thunk people would hate a show that sums up what Western culture is all about??
Posts like that are so boring. Such posts are in the same league as "first!" You hate the show? Good for you - but do you have anything interesting to say? No? Then piss off.
As fascinating as watching thin blank-eyed brunettes can be, I'm more interested in the appearance of Mr. Denisof.
I would really like to see Ron Glass walking around a corner intoning, "I wouldn't do that if I were you." He's so great at that.
@Grey_Area: I'm looking forward to seeing Denisof and hope that this news means that his health is much improved. He is a new father too - congrats to him and his lovely wife and daughter.
How is Joss paying for all these big name actors with his new reduced budget? Glau and Denisof I can see working for scale because it's Joss, but Hogan and Carradine most likely asked for their full rate.
Did they happen to mention if she'll be playing a quiet, troubled girl who can also beat people up, or a girl who beats people up who is often quiet due to a troubled past?
I only ask because I want to make sure they know they can work with her wide range.
Tday has been an awesome day for Dollhouse spoilers. First, Miracle Laurie is coming back now this. Give Joss Whedon a second season, he pulls out all the stops, don't he?
is Dollhouse fast becoming the survival bunker for actors coming off of canceled/ended scifi shows?
Alan Tudyk (Firefly), Mark Sheppard (Firefly/BSG), Tahmoh Penikett (Helo), Jamie Bamber (Apollo), Michael Hogan (Saul Tigh), and now Summer Glau (Firefly/Terminator)
@CodenameV: The majority of the viewers and fans of dollhouse are also fans of Joss's other works (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Serenity, Dr. Horrible) and they are also science fiction fans (BSG and Terminator were some of the bigger scifi shows lately). It makes perfect sense that the casting director would want to cast familiar faces of these shows especially as guest cast. Plus you'll know they have some chemistry. Not to mention, none of them are exactly tallentless actors. Good actors with a fan base that work well with each other. Good formula for a show that is trying to raise its ratings and survive.

I've been wanting to see Denisof in new Whedonverse for a looong time now.
To me, that should of been the headline.

If Joss really had a pair on him, he'd bring in Nathan for a quick cameo, in between filming eps of Castle.

Maybe in season 3...LOL I'm sorry, I just can't even finish that.

@OW-Holmes--Serious Face.: Damn right it did.
As for Glau, I never expected Joss Whedon to be so predictable to cast her as a doll- it will never happen.
