    The reasons it could be a real photo:
    1. Long hair. I believe the Tim Burton version went into pre-production about the time DC decided to win over female readers by giving Superman long hair.

    2. In the photo it looks like "Nic Cage" is wearing a napkin or towel to keep makeup off the costume. This may have been a makeup test as well as a costume test.

    3. "Nic Cage" looks tired. He was probably up at 5 AM for make-up and wardrobe.

    4. This absurd looking costume looks like it was inspired by the same school of thought that put nipples and an ass crack on the Batsuit.

    @debo matar la zombi goldberry83: My child, K&S already fought it out twice- once, Kirk incited Spock to attack him, and while Spock SEEMED to have the upper hand, Kirk was allowing the fight to go on until Spock came to his senses. Kirk could have flying kicked him at any time.

    The other time Spock SEEMED to kill Kirk, but only because McCoy knocked Kirk out. If it wasn't for the faked death, Kirk would have had to put him in his place.

    Spock is super strong, but Kirk is like Batman or Captain America- it isn't pure muscle that makes him triumph, it's his indomitable will and cleverness. And awesomeness.


    P.S. I'm predicting Kirk Lite will need to be rescued from Sylar Spock.

    @John Hazard: Spock was totally playing it cool, and furthermore, in both situations was not exactly at his best (both times being during a total freak-out of one kind or another). Spock at peak function vs. Kirk on his best ever day = Spock taking Kirk down without breaking a sweat.

    It may not be sci-fi, but in related news for anyone who's missed it, there's an AWESOME new show on Spike called Deadliest Warrior, where they pit different warriors against each other, like Spartan vs. Ninja, and Viking vs. Samurai. They analyze how much damage their weapons do, analyze armor and tactics, and then plug it into a computer and simulate the battle 1000 times. As I said, AWESOME.
