@despsuno: Funny, I have the exact opposite reaction. Virtuality was just full of nonsense. I have hopes for Defying Gravity -- it strikes me as an extension of the coldly logical BBC "docudrama" Voyage to the Planets from a few years back. Heck, even some of the sets look the same.
@iCurmudgeon: I thought the "possible alien whatsis with mysterious ways" was a lot more interesting and SF-ish than "reality show and serial killer". I'm just DONE with reality shows and VR oopsies.
Torchwood: Children of Earth is well worth seeing but if you can't get BBCAmerica in HD like on DirecTV you would probably be happier finding an alternate source of the episodes. BBCAmerica in low def is grueling at best and downright eye straining.
@Evil Tortie's Mom: R.O.A.C.H.: Although I may have spoke too soon -- it still looks standard-def to me as I'm looking at it now, only 3 hours to go, !@#$%^&*
Also a big thank you to Time Warner Cable NYC for not giving us BBCA in HD. Really. You've made my decision to go to Fios (when its available) that much easier.
DO NOT MISS Being Human. Also, it is NOT a comedy. It's a poignant drama with a few places where there are amusing parts; think of Dead Like Me, but even fewer funny bits.
I am torn about being happy and sad about not having a tv.
Sad I don't have one: torchwood, serenity, better off ted, being human, Godzilla (its a fun movie if you disconnect it from the real Godzilla)
Happy I don't have one: Torchwood death, End of Primeval, True blood
@LittleDragon: Yeah, I'm kinda in the same boat. I haven't connected the converter box to my tv, so I'm missing some show but not enough for me to connect it up.
When are they going to just give Tricia Helfer her own series, instead of having her endlessly run around from show to show doing guest spots? She must have signed her soul away to Universal or something.
Poor Tricia, always a guest star, never a headliner.
@Cash907Censored: If she had her own series, how could she guest on every show that wants to up there geek demographic.
Very worried about Warehouse 13 (not that I'll miss it much). In morning spoilers we find out they are adding a hip hacker kid, the morning isn't over and they are stunt casting.
FOX would have cancelled it before the second hour of the pilot and maybe that's not such a bad thing this time.
@Cash907Censored: No kidding. She has great acting chops -- she played so many variations of Number 6 on BSG and we've seen her on other shows now. She needs to get a nice stable role she can dig into.
Think the kid hacker will be the little sister from the Bionic Woman reboot? She was supposedly 133t, or something. Wait, maybe she was l33t and angsty? I can't remember now... that whole horrible show pretty much bleeds all together, except for the scenes that involved Katee Sackoff kicking the crap out of that british twit.
She blew me away as Gina-six in season 2. Playing an utterly broken individual is no easy feet, and that's what made me notice her as a serious actor, and not just a hot body in a slinky red dress.
Hopefully Tricia Helfer will be joining the team as their little ghost buddy, taking them along a series of sexual escapades and holding them on the brink of insanity.
@CoffinDodger: I found Primeval entertaining enough while I was stuck in airports needing something light. I'm about halfway through Season 3 and it appears to have lost direction.
Reminds me of what happened to Sliders when they started switching out cast members. New cast is fine, but screwing around with the premise too much is pretty risky. You hope to make it better, but could end up with a convoluted mess.
@Magicant: You got it, Magicant. Primeval is awful, but somehow I must continue to watch to see it through. You can't get much worse than a knight following a dragon that's supposed to be a dino (or vice versa) through the anomaly so the wacky mixed up hijinks can ensue. The new cast members are barely passable, the the plots continue to get more ridiculous-

This is going to sound almost pedophilic, but I am completely in love with Allison Scagliotti, the actress who plays Claudia in Warehouse 13.
Too bad she's 18 and I'm 46. And no, I'm usually not attracted to 18 year olds.

Virtuality was a masterpiece of sci fi space opera compared to this garbage.

Agree with you about the low-def BBCA; it was the fuzziest, grainiest channel I had, even compared to the other low-defs.

Stupid show of the week replacement needed.
Suggestions here, please.

Already watch that. And it is quite the opposite of "stupid". Which Primeval had in abundance.

USA is having an all-day marathon on Sat. Aug. 1 so you can really get into it.
Can't recommend it enough.
