    What is wrong with us? I mean, I get it, we're Americans when we like something we just want more and more until we cannot stand it anymore. I know this first hand as someone who goes through "cereal phases" where I eat one kind of cereal all the time until the sight of it makes me sick. (RIP Fruity Pebbles) Now, it's time for America to do to vampire flicks what I did with General Mills, turn away, take a break and come back to it when we're ready to pace ourselves. #vamps

    Being a man, the entire vampire trend has completely passed me by, and I feel at a severe disadvantage because I realize I am missing out on a major cultural phenomena, yet can't seem to care enough to change that. My future children will ask if I saw these movies in the theater, and I will look like a clueless dad.

    I remember seeing Lost Boys though, and thinking it was cool. Even had the soundtrack cassette. It was a simpler time.

    I know Heckerling is talented, I did see Loser... but I have almost no memory of the film itself. I'm pretty sure it had the girl from American Beauty and the guy from Anything Else.

    I had a snarky comment all lined up, but I forgot the name of the play I wanted to reference. It was about a janitor working in a lab that did animal testing befriending a talking dolphin. It talked about animal right and I believe vivisection; I will award a heart chick and an internet to anyone who can find the name of this play. #flowersforalgernon

    @Dr.Quatermass: normally I'd think that line was funny, but its not for Flowers for Algernon

    particularly because it doesn't, really; he gets smart;

    the criticism of "you don't go full retard" is that Hollywood doesn't actually like retarded people struggling with everyday problems; only idiot-savants who have some sort of hidden talent, not everyday people-struggles. #flowersforalgernon

    I think it's failed from the beginning because they keep mentioning Titanic.

    Maybe I'm a snob, but I can't see how this film can appeal to that kind of audience, especially consider half the audience of Titanic were dragged along to watch it against their will, and did so only so they could get laid. #avatar
