<![CDATA[Will The Spore Movie Include Sporn's "Tent In Your Pants" Music Video?]]> Fox is readying an evolution movie based on the create-your-own-creature video game Spore. But will the new feature also include the Spore-inspired creature fad Sporn, in which genitalia inspired creatures dance for your amusement? (NSFW video.)

The video above comes from our roundup of Spore's most demented and inspired pornographic creations, a while back, gathered into one giant sexy music video. And now that Hollywood is interested in making Spore the movie, we demand it include some Sporn.

Chris Wedge (Ice Age) is producing the film, while the writers from Disney's latest animation project The Princess and the Frog, are writing the script.

"I'm always looking for unique worlds to go to in animation," Wedge said. "From every perspective — visually, thematically and comedically — the world of 'Spore' provides the potential to put something truly original on the screen."

That's the truth. We can't imagine an interesting Spore movie without some unconventional genitalia bursting out on screen. That's one clever way to market it as a tent pole production, no?

<![CDATA[Royksopp Video Chronicles Doomed Girl/Robot Romance]]> Fresh on the heels of their carnivalesque Space Invaders video, Norwegian electronica duo Röyksopp have created an epic romantic saga for our time in "The Girl and the Robot," their new single featuring Swedish diva Robyn.

The single, from the duo's new CD Junior, tells the sad tale of a lonely woman who apparently finds physical but not emotional solace from her android companion. In the Michael Baldwin-directed video, the robot appears opposite Robyn as a cross between Hellboy's limpid-eyed Abe Sapien and a Dyson vacuum cleaner. Watch for that final narrative twist at the end of the clip, below.

Apparently anticipating the io9 take on this song, the Röyksopp boys have beaten us to the punch and helpfully compiled their own list of the top 5 girl-and-robot pairings in movies. Check out their list, and let the arguments begin over who was left off (how about Ann Magnuson and John Malkovich as Frankie and Ulysses in Making Mr. Right?), or whether Ally Sheedy's Stephanie Speck and Johnny Five from Short Circuit even deserve an honorable mention on this list.

<![CDATA[The Feel Of An Explosion At His Back Moves J.J. Abrams To Song]]> The MTV Movie Awards actually managed to make my little black heart laugh with this musical gem. Host Andy Samberg joined a Neil Diamond-clad Will Ferrell, and sang how, "Cool Guys Don't Look At Explosions." The Joker, Robocop, Iron Man, Wolverine and J.J. Abrams are all there, walking away.

I mean you can't ask for much more from an award show that is basically one big peddler for commercials and self promotion. Well done Samberg — now, go hit on Megan Fox some more.

Can you name them all? Don't forget From Dusk Til Dawn.

<![CDATA[The Extended Twilight Sex Scene Plus Dancing Lesbian Vampires]]> What if Edward Cullen had a change of heart about his "we can't do the nasty, or I'll kill you" stance? Also the ladies of LVK teach Twilight how to make a proper music video.

I haven't heard too much lately, in regards to the campy British movie Lesbian Vampire Killers, except "What was that song they played in the opening credits?" Turns out, it's the lovely VV Brown ditty "Crying Blood." Thankfully LVK just released this new music video spliced with scenes from the movie. I dare you not to dance, because this little song puts the overly hyped Twilight soundtrack to utter shame.

<![CDATA[RoboCop Rap Dispenses Rhyming Justice]]> The latest RoboCop movie comes not from Darren Aronofsky, but from musicians The Anomalies. Their video mixes clips from RoboCop with their own beats and lyrics for a hip hop summary of the original film.

DJ Mayhem and MC Mouthmaster Murf, both members of The Anomalies, have created this ten-minute rap rendition of RoboCop, frequently incorporating lines from the movie in their rhymes:

This isn’t the pair’s first rapping scifi remake. Earlier this year, they gave Predator the same musical treatment.

<![CDATA[Classic Alien Love Story In Animal Collective Video]]> Animal Collective's "Peacebone" music video from the Strawberry Jam album is a perfect example of musicians embracing their inner scifi-ness. It's the classic story: monster meets girl, monster and girl fall in love, girl has surprise for monster, and then the two do what every young couple in love does: smash mailboxes with bats.

<![CDATA[The Gorgeous End Of The World]]> Nuke explosions could be a very beautiful thing. That's what you see in this photo, which offers us a colorful and serene apocalypse. Even when the world is ending, there will be flocks of roaming birds and cotton candy clouds.

In this concept artwork from Hatch FX, which was done for Dave Navarro's "Rexall" music video. Hatch wanted the end of the world to look very pretty, and apparently the label didn't like it all, so you'll see much more dark and typical end of the world views, a bit like Dark City gone apocalyptic. But that doesn't stop us from loving this. They have some gorgeous matte paintings and concept art in their archives, and you can check out Navarro's end of the world video here.

<![CDATA[Russian Space Pirates Melt Your Synapses With Rock]]> Russian translation circuits: inoperable. We may not know what this band from the motherland is singing about in this science fiction-themed music video, but we do know that a band of crazy space pirates are invading a fleet of women clad in silver jumpsuits. Everybody parades around and sings the chorus of the song while their ship rolls back and forth. Oh, and their ship looks like the interior was designed by whoever did the interior of the old TARDIS from Doctor Who.

Our tour of the interwebs in search of Страху нет yielded the band Mumiy Troll, who have been playing music in Russia since 1981. We couldn't find hide nor hair of this song on the site, though. You can hear their entire new album played on their website if you're patient enough to endure their brain-melting powers of rock. Maybe this will spawn a whole slew of scifi music videos that tell an epic story. We can only hope! After all, we're tired of listening to Styx's Kilroy Was Here over and over again.
