    Never seen a redband trailer with... well... nothing worth restricting. Maybe it was redbanded because of terrible dialogue and action cliches?

    Looks fun - really explain the io9 hate of this film please? Looks likea fun if dumb b movie with a nice epic premise and some good actors.. god it has to be better than shite like ultraviolet or Knightrider which you persist on publicising...

    I'll wait till I watch it before I write it off

    @Wheema: Heh... we don't really promote Knight Rider, I think. We cover it occasionally, since it's on TV all the time. When have we promoted Ultraviolet? I'm confused.


    The io9 "hate" as you call it, is just based on the fact that we've seen the movie and it's rubbish. You haven't seen the movie, so you can either take our word for it, or find out for yourself.

    Why is that a redband? No cursing (I believe), little violence and above all no norks.


    And as someone who loves crap movies, this has many warning flags that it is probably awful. Any genre film with Malkovitch, Aoki, or Jane is troubling. As is an English languange appearance by Benno Furman. The Cut Scene quality of the CG and the heavy desaturation effect are another red flag. Not to mention that someone who thought Conquest is the best Apes movie could barely sit through it ;)

    I love me some crap movies, but there's crap and then there's shit. Crap movies have norks to make up for the crap factor. Shit movies leave a bitter aftertaste in my mouth.

    @zenpoet: I had high hopes for it too. And then I watched it with Annalee and we had to sit on our hands to keep them away from the fast-forward button. Just remember, there's no fast-forward button in movie theaters.

    @zenpoet: Get you head off that table. This looks like a lot of fun. And I will watch anything with Ron. He is a brilliant actor. It could do with out John Malkovich, but thats just my personal opinion.

    @LittleDragon: In the movie, John Malkovich is literally reading his lines off cue cards. It makes his performance in Bloodrayne look like Olivier.

    Now I will just have to keep my wife from buying it for me. She went out and bought "In the Name of the King" for me, because she knows I enjoy Statham movies. I didn't have the heart to tell her the Uwe movies are never good, even if he somehow got Morgan Freeman to be in one.
