Blackest Night is turning into another Lost or Fringe for me. I am extremely interested and I promised I wouldn't look into it until it was over but Jesus Christ it's so tempting. I can't tell what hurts more, waiting in ignorance for a hardcover or waiting every week for the next installment. (Note: I gave in to both Lost and Fringe. I have yet to see any Battlestar though. I think I am holding out for Labor Day weekend.)
Is anyone else completely amazed by Wednesday Comics from DC? It's one of these retro-nostalgia things for the Sunday Comics that never were.
Full broadsheet comics that are just gorgeous, and plus there's a Metamorpho weekly comic from Gaiman and Allred.
@amygdala: Amidst all of the big-name comics, Wednesday Comics is still the first comic I read every week. 90% of it is pure gold. I don't think I've ever wanted a Metal Men comic more in my life.
That Wonder Woman comic though, ugh. I commend anyone that tries to get through that incomprehensible pile of words and half-pictures.

I've been really impressed with IDW's TNG, Post-TNG comics, especially with some of the Alien Spotlight issues (the Q issue from last week was particularly nice). Excited for the Nero mini for sure.
Revelations was one of the worst of the Final Crisis tie-ins there was, though.
Actually, the only good one I can think of is the one with the Flash rogues gallery.
@DocSeuss: I thought it was probably the best tie-in. Revelations, Rogues, and Last Will and Testament were must reads for me....more so than the actual crisis, really.
Oh, and I saw a poster at Midtown Comics promoting the final issue of Planetary due in October. All I can say is - THANK. YOU. LITTLE. BABY. JESUS.
I've been waiting for that sucker for what feels like years (and what actually might be years...).
Absolutely no comic book fan should pass up on Doom Patrol. Giffen and DeMatteis + a bunch of loser heroes = epic win
And no mention for Chew #3? It's a pretty fantastic series so far.
@ManchuCandidate: But if Asimov's laws dictate that robots can't harm humans, but are programmed to harm, but can't defy their programing, but can't break laws aws aws aws

And don't get me started on the plausibility of 'killing' Thor and Wolverine in any universe.
