Season of the Witch looks intresting. But if shes giving them so much grief.....I would just dump the mystic bint in the nearest forest clearing and tell top brass that we lost her to the weather!!!
Epp also looks like the most disturbing thing put to celluloid!!!! Hold me!! Bird flu just got a whole new meaning!!!
I watched the Season of the Witch trailer the other day and it looks okay but honestly I think it would be better without Cage in it.
The fanmade trailer of El Eternauto looks better than the test footage but as Meredith pointed out it is only test footage. I did like the first pat of the test footage but the CG looks like special effects from the 50's which is funny in it's own right.
El Eternauta: Looks like someone didnt get the toy they wanted in their happy meal.
Eep: You know they actually said "KFC will not harm you" with straight faces.
SUCK: The music leaves a little to be desired but the movie looks like it has potential to become a cult classic like a Whopper.
Season of The Witch: Looks like it might be ... ummm ... a Nick Cage movie. Which means i will see it as he has the potential to be so good or so bad. Like a 3am gas station hot dog.
Has he now just gone into playing all his characters as Nick Cage coz Nick Cage is the coolest character that this character could be ?
(Yeah thats right, i went fast food on all those clips)
It's okay by me that you cover anything that could be described as "fannish". I trust your judgement. Even though none of us really know what "fannish" encompasses. The best we've been able to do is "I know it when I see it".
Personally, I've been described by two former managers as "a renaissance man" and by one as "unfocused". They're all probably right. So I know how hard it is to decide what your purview really is. It's a challenge to define your market, when SF and fantasy fans are known for having interests all over the map.
(Why is GLEE fannish? Damned if I know. But it is.)
The reasons it could be a real photo:
1. Long hair. I believe the Tim Burton version went into pre-production about the time DC decided to win over female readers by giving Superman long hair.
2. In the photo it looks like "Nic Cage" is wearing a napkin or towel to keep makeup off the costume. This may have been a makeup test as well as a costume test.
3. "Nic Cage" looks tired. He was probably up at 5 AM for make-up and wardrobe.
4. This absurd looking costume looks like it was inspired by the same school of thought that put nipples and an ass crack on the Batsuit.
The wording on your poll is extremely confusing. It asks "if the picture fake" and the answers says "Yes, I believe in the power of Cage" or "No, this is fake".
Being a photoshop designer, I can safely say that this is a REALLY bad photoshop hack job. His neck is too long and his head is not even tilted in the correct direction... Look at the area under his jawline, that is not even a good manipulation. Aside from that his physical pose looks fake as well and i'm not even sure if the backdrop is real either, seems like its not even angled correctly. Obviously this is fake. It's not a Kingdom Come figure though, the "S" on the Kingdom Come figure is black and red. Even the S on the chest is not aligned or centered on the suit correctly, even that could have been faked.

I think we could even start inventing new ones.
