Allright...this is the straw that is finally going to break the remake camel's back. First I hear Robert Zemeckis is going to remake Yellow Submarine, now this?!!? Why can't movie execs allow new, origianl ideas to be made, instead of rehashing great ideas that don't need to be remade in the first place? NoTLD was already remade in the 90's, as well as a 3-D version. Do we really need to remake a remake of an original? I don't think so.
Sorry for the rant everyone, it's just...........anger enducing. :|
@Jdelgadillo23: You people should constantly spread the word of YARM and say you are going to boycott buying anything from studios unless it is used.I am very rarely buying any new USA DVD's.I will buy a TV Show DVD set to help with the show continuing as hollywood looks at dvd sales on tv stuff but in general i am finished with greedy assholes.just do what you vcan to screw them over so everytime they make YARM then you don't buy somemore.if enough folks don't buy it will hurt them in their pocketbook.

Boo! This is such a rip-off of another project that has been in production since forever! It's called Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated ([www.notldr.com]) which my friend April Guadiana has been a major part in and has animated numerous scenes! Go check it out! ^_^
American style anime. Hmmmm, in America no less. Sounds to me like its just another absurd way of Hollywood whoreing out the old classics to directors to screw them up. Does Zebediah de Soto know what he's getting into. Its like making a deal with the devil. And the deals made worse because he's screwing with one the all time classics!! But that said..if it all goes wrong, Hollywood can blame anime and pretend it wasnt American style...Hmmm! In this case ignorance would be bliss. But De Soto would get a serious western kick to the groin!!!
Why does it say short lived for The Boondocks. The show is in its 3rd season and I haven't seen anyone say it's been canceled. The cartoon strip was canceled tho.
@warf0x0r: The cartoon strip was only cancelled so he could focus on the TV show. Also, I read in an interview hes working on something new, didnt remember if he said what it was though.
On a side note: I had put this same boondocks clip on my site earlier... Well not the same clip exactly, but a clip of the same thing.
@Charlie Jane Anders: There haven't been any new ep's in forever, plus they canceled the cartoon, so your idea wasn't totally out-there.
Our paper replaced it with "Candorville", which I like a LOT more. I find it funnier, and the main character is a primo SF fan. He's always wearing t-shirts with a Federation logo, or pondering stuff about Babylon 5. Check it out.
Harry Turtledove used Dr. King in many of his allohistories. My favorite is The Two Georges, a standalone novel (those long series do get tiresome, don't they?) he co-authored with Richard Dreyfuss (!?). In it Sir Martin Luther King is the Governor-General of the North American Union, still part of the British Commonwealth, and Richard Nixon is a famous car dealer in Southern California.
Never saw that Boondocks, "...I'm goin' to Canada."
Phantasm is one of my faves. Angus Scrimm is SO imposing, yet can also carry the demeanor of a friendly grandpa. BOYYYY!
Hilarious to see "Indian Thriller" in all its "Girly-Mannnn!" glory. It's part of a movie called Donga, which you can learn more about here: [en.wikipedia.org])
If anyone knows where I can find a copy of the original B&W "The Hand" (not the oliver stone remake from the 80s, but the glorious 50s version that was a garden glove crawling around), I will buy you a beer!
@the.bricoleur: I don't think that is it. I can only remember a guy on the phone talking, when all of a sudden this glove crawls up and strangles him... then crawls away afterwards. It's B&W, and was quite old.
Again, I know Oliver Stone's 1980s "The Hand" was a remake, and I think it was a remake of the movie I remember, but I'm not sure.

If they are going to make a zombie anime, use High School of the Dead at least that is a manga.

Besides, the last 3-D remake of Night of the Living Dead didn't have anything going for it outside of Sig Haig.
