Oh Moff how you do make me chuckle, but seriously it's unsettling how close this conversation is to my house, minus all that talk about you probably wanting to be a girl. I had almost the exact same conversation this holiday week BUT I was trying to convince my Mother to kill my sister by driving the car into a gas station with me protected in the back. Think of the possible headlines! She got mad and totally didn't understand. Parents they NEVER understand. As always thanks for the great Sunday read.
I typed in 'Hawkeye' in Wikipedia and it came up with 25 different references. How did she know that you weren't referring to Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist or the Kate Bishop Hawkeye from the Young Avengers? Did you make this up?
Really wonderful work here, Moffie. Absolutely top shelf. Cannot wait for the immanent publication of Pothead Space Ninja. Send me an ARC and I'll do a kickass review, after I off my parents of course.
California truly is an unhappy place. Sure, my town has the X-Men now but they aren't really superheros, just mutants. Stinkin' filthy muties.
@Elizabeth Weinbloom: Awesome. As I was looking for pictures, I realized a M*A*S*H reference would have been appropriate. It was late at night by then, though, and I was sleepy.
This is quite possibly my favorite Jive Tarkin of all time!
And your Moms seems really smart with the non-sayings, and the Wikipedias and the... shows. Mebbe she can figure in as some sort of mythical bong builder in your master work?
@DorothyMantooth: You love my parents! In spite of never having met them. But I did make my mom sound a little smarter here than she is in real life, just like I made myself sound smarter, too.
