@smithereen: this clip made the wait worse. I am always excited for a bit of the doctor. I started watching again in 2006. Now, since Water of Mars it began building to a strong desire.
This clip gave me one small hit:
1. David Tennant making an extremely unfunny joke, kind of cheeky cute and getting a small chuckle.
2. A bit of inane banter, that turns out to be unwasted words. How old are you? oh you wont answer that question, let me ask another question. Oh ok, let me try again while being more direct. 100 years? finally you told me something relevant.
3. The Doctor going through grief about his impending death. turns out he is being a little more dark and self indulgent. "the good queen bess has a new nick name"
4. The Ood are just an amazing species.
5. Are the Ood elders, the group of Ood kids that Donna help rescue?
Man, Tennant is gonna be great at unraveling the Doctor. He plays the humor here so obnoxiously, whereas before the Doctor went crazy, it'd be genuinely jolly.
@greenland: Totally true. I've watched it several times already. If the same lines had been said by the Doctor during season 4 at some point, they'd have been lame gags. But after Waters of Mars and knowing what's coming, they're creepy and sad at the same time.
@JosephFinn: Keep an eye on their Sunday schedule over the next few weeks. They've recently had marathons in addition to playing the 'Titantic' Christmas special just last week.
The Ood still creep me out... David Tennant is still the best doctor though and I am awfully sad to see him go. I hope, I pray really, that they somehow manage to fix Donna in all of this...
@Neon: Hopefully, this philosophy will carry over into the next season. Waiting a week or so after the UK airdate is tolerable. Beyond that is just plain frustrating.

I am disappointed with the whole of creation.
I WANT THE DOCTOR!
the whoverse is propagating a culture of exclusion.

*Ahem* Clever use of the time gap to tie up loose ends.

And yes Doctor, it was funny. Now give the Ood some warm mild with honey and tuck them into bed.
