Ugh, how could I forget about this masterpiece - INBRED REDNECK ALIEN ABDUCTION.

Sorry, no trailer to share, just the website: [www.inbredredneck.com] #aliens

Also freaky: my favorite band, Tool's, song "Rosetta Stoned" which is a tripped-out recount of an alien abduction.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind gets my vote, because it scared the bejeezus out of me when I was a kid. Fire in the Sky was freaky too. That being said, of all of them Taken is my favorite. #aliens

Another vote for Fire in the Sky.

BUT. . . while it's not at all an alien abduction story, all those poor colonists on LV-426 got their butts abducted, then impregnated, then blown apart, then eaten, then incinerated in a mushroom cloud the size of Nebraska.

    Bummer. #aliens

@Daveinva: As an aside, I'm a 15-years-running night terror sufferer. I'm *totally* convinced that most stories of "abductions" are the result of night terrors and sleep paralysis. *I* know what's going on because I know what they are, but even then, they're scary as hell.

Can't move, can't breathe, and you KNOW there's somebody in the room with you, you can feel it, if only you could just turn your head, but you can't...

    Fun times.

I can only imagine that slightly-less cosmopolitan folk might not be familiar enough with the medical terminology and simply think they're being abducted (or possessed by demons-- they're all the same stories anyway). #aliens

@Daveinva: I had the same condition growing up. I'm 30 now and haven't had an episode in about 4 years so you may yet still grow out of it.
Each one has truly been the most horrible and terrifying experiences I have ever had. Having done a lot of research on the subject I also came across a lot of scientific information connecting "abductees" to people who actually have the condition we suffer from. Brain scans of sufferers show that it doesn't matter if the experience was "real" or not; the memory of it resides in the same part of the brain where real traumatic memories are stored, and with a stronger ability to create greater stress inducing recollections than real traumatic experiences.
I hope you grow out of it like I seem to have!

Eduardo Sanchez's ALTERED. Guys get abducted by aliens. Years later, they abduct an alien for revenge. But once they get their captive back to their compound, things don't go exactly as planned...

one of my brothers forced me to go see 'communion' in the theater when it came out.

if alien space weasels had descended in the first 10 minutes and killed everyone in the film, it would've been a better movie because it would've been shorter. #aliens

I have to go with "none". None of them have ever frightened me. Sorry. Aliens just aren't scary. Even Aliens aliens just aren't scary. Gorgeous, creepy, moody, startling; but not scary. #aliens

"Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake" County is without a doubt the scariest alien abduction movie i've ever seen. In fact, at 20 years old i'm still too scared to finish it. It shakes me to the core. I thought "Fire in the Sky" was terrifying but this tops it in every way.

here's a link the entire movie on google video:

@ArcLyte: I was going to post about a scary movie called "Alien Abduction: The McPherson Tape" but after a quick IMDB search I've realised that's the UK name for the same movie.

On the surface it's a low budget crap-fest, but ArcLyte is right, something about it really scares.

It's filmed Blair Witch-style with a handheld camera and is about a family in a remote US ranch, who one night notice strange lights and noises outside. One by one they go out to investigate, while the lights flicker, the TV starts going wonly and the obligatory kid starts babbling some weird language.

It's also interspersed with straight to camera interviews with "experts" who talk frankly about the tape (in that way that actors pretending to be experts do). Nice touch.

    Have a watch! #aliens

Alien abduction/invasion was my number 1 fear as a kid thanks to X-Files and the slew of other UFO related stuff Fox aired because of the popularity of it. That Alien Autopsy (which looks SO freaking fake to me now) video scared the bejesus out of me.

I kinda want to see all these movies now because I absolutely refused to as a kid. If there was any hint of evil aliens involved I refused to watch it. #aliens
