@hackborn: because it's not a dollar store porn film. sure, it's got the production values of one, and the writting, but not the graphic sex. #nightbeasts
I think this image is a better comparison of starships. Though, if you want to take it to extremes, Jeff Russell's Starship Dimensions website covers everything, and I mean everything, in scale from Yoda (0.66 m) to Ringworld (299,300,000 km):
@ProgHead777: That was cool until I noticed the real ships in the very top. When I saw that, I got oddly depressed.
Also, when you see a page that has the Death Stars as smallish, you know how much Sci Fi there really is. I assume thats how regular people feel when they leave the planetarium.
Wish they had the Soviet N-1 on the rocket page...but alas, having your fuel pump eat a bolt at liftoff and blowing up your own launch pad has long-term social consequences. #visualaid
@Chip Overclock: I was just playing ;)
You are right, but you abbreviated spacecraft to craft, of which the plural is crafts, but the plural of spacecraft is spacecraft. I think. #visualaid
@Trystero: That's kinda what I was thinking, but if you think of King Kong swinging on the top of the Empire State Building and Godzilla being bigger than everything in Japan, I guess this comparison makes sense. #visualaid
Godzilla's size varies. If he was that big then he wouldn't be slightly bigger than the Japanese skyscrapers in the old movies. Talk about overkill. #visualaid
It doesn't specify which iteration of Godzilla they are representing, as the Showa series, Hesei series, and Millenium series were all different - in fact there were two different sizes in Hesei's time.
