    BWAHAAHAhahahahaha! I just finished reading Thursday Next: First Among Sequels, which makes this just absolutely hilarious.


    If you haven't read the series, I HIGHLY recommend it. Jasper Fforde. Check it out. Seriously. Do it.

    Pride and Predators made me laugh. Then I remembered Predator II and I threw up in my mouth a little.


    I guess I should go pitch my Jane Austen-cyborgs-time travel-romantic action adventure script "Terminators and Terminatability" pretty quick, before this trend dies.

    @Garrison Dean: The only Jane Austen I enjoyed was when the Red Dwarf crew entered Pride and Prejudice in their virtual reality module, and Kryten blows the everloving shit out of a tea party with a tank.

    Wow, these movies may actually suck the funny out of the room faster than that one terrible Pride and Prejudice episode of Red Dwarf.

    Imagine having to sit through basically the same joke, except stretched out over an hour and 25 minutes.


    (I do hold out some hope for Lost in Austen, since by my understanding, events begin to change the moment Amanda wakes up in Austen-world)

    @bluehinter: Yeah, this sounds funny on paper, but I don't care how good the special effects are. If I have to take listening to Jane Austin conversation, someone is getting hurt.


    Unless Predator dies of consumption from running around the english countryside in the rain. That would be hysterical

    Hey, I love me some Red Dwarf, but even I'm willing to admit that a good chunk of Series VII was embarrasingly unfunny, and this episode was, above and beyond, the worst of the lot.


    (That said, Series VII did provide us with Ace Rimmer wind-surfing an alligator, the Epideme virus, and Kryten hunting for nanobots in Lister's dirty laundry, so it wasn't all bad)
