@CSX321: i second that thought.i am so pissed at FOX for leaving us all with a damn cliffhanger.it has finally dawned on me to not support as much as i have cause it sucks watching a story and not getting an end.god if i read my books that way like reading 2/3 of a book and not finishing it would leave me depressed.
@dethklokso: Its more like "Torchwood," sans aliens and the "everyone is bi" vibe. There are anomalies (rips in time), and things come through — mostly dinosaurs, because let's face it, dinosaurs are cool.
So why two seasons of 7 and 6 episodes instead of only one of 13? Wouldn't that make more sense? They could go in hiatus if they needed, but why consider them different seasons?
@Magicant: The final two seasons should just be her, in her underwear (or bathing-suit) with a massive machine gun killing all the future predators. With maybe a little crossover help from the Doctor.
Props for featuring Ultraman. I rented the entire original series from Netflix (old DVD set) and I was surprised how much fun I had. I actually had watched the English dub on TV as a wee tot, and for the DVDs I watched with Japanese audio and subtitles. Since the dub was a pretty faithful translation, the stories were familiar. And as an adult I know that in the episode where Ultraman fights what looks like Godzilla, it actually IS the Godzilla suit (so ... I guess it's a cameo? :)
I've mentioned on here a few weeks ago that I'd be willing to add more straight sci-fi to my Netflix Horror, Exploit, and Cult cinema new release lists if you guys were going to use them, but never go an answer. I'll throw the idea out there again just in case.
As it stands, I've carried those list out to Nov. As titles are added to the NF database, I'll add them. just click to see what's doin': [www.netflix.com]
It's not so much that I try to block out Insurrection as I just . . . forget about it. First Contact was a blast, Nemesis was a train wreck, Insurrection was 103 minutes.
@MrTim: I don't even remember the story of Insurrection or Nemesis, apart from the fact that they were both boring and that the vilain in Nemesis was a lame clone of Picard. I already have Khan, Voyage Home, Search for Spock and First Contact. I don,t need any other Trek movie except maybe for the first one.
@collex: I've only watched each of them once, but I maintain that Insurrection is nowhere near the frnachise-destroying abomination that Nemesis was. Insurrection wasn't that that good, mind you, but it actually had some humanity and decent writing and direction.
@MrTim: I just need to chime in to say how much I love First Contact. I have fun every time I watch it. You're entirely correct in saying it's a blast.
@CoffinDodger: I found Primeval entertaining enough while I was stuck in airports needing something light. I'm about halfway through Season 3 and it appears to have lost direction.
Reminds me of what happened to Sliders when they started switching out cast members. New cast is fine, but screwing around with the premise too much is pretty risky. You hope to make it better, but could end up with a convoluted mess.
@Magicant: You got it, Magicant. Primeval is awful, but somehow I must continue to watch to see it through. You can't get much worse than a knight following a dragon that's supposed to be a dino (or vice versa) through the anomaly so the wacky mixed up hijinks can ensue. The new cast members are barely passable, the the plots continue to get more ridiculous-

Summer Glau is doing Dollhouse, and Lena Headey has been cast for the HBO adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire (as Cersei Lannister, HELL YES).
