True Blood Gets Its Werewolf and Doctor Who Revisits an Old Enemy.]]> Tony Stark loses his head in Iron Man 2 footage. True Blood finally casts the werewolf Alcide, and the Eleventh Doctor will inherit one of the Tenth Doctor's most popular enemies. Plus Inception, Toy Story, Forbidden Planet, and Chuck spoilers.

Iron Man 2

Entertainment Tonight premiered a few moments from the film, including a scene where Pepper kisses Iron Man (well, his helmet, anyway). [via Cinema Blend]

Forbidden Planet

As if he doesn't have enough on his plate, James Cameron has confirmed that he's "actively involved" in J. Michael Straczynski's project. But apparently he hasn't made any decisions about what his role will be. [MTV]

Inception

We get our first one-sheet for Chris Nolan's mysterious thriller. Apparently, the crime scene inside Leonardo DiCaprio's mind has a plumbing issue. [/Film]

Toy Story 3

A new pic shows the toys heading off to their new home. Check out the full-sized image at Empire Magazine.

Sherlock Holmes

If you've always wondered what goes on the set of a Guy Ritchie movie, Cinema Blend has a bunch of behind-the-scenes clips. [Cinema Blend]

Rec 2

Here's the Italian trailer for the sequel to the Spanish plague film. [via ShockTillYouDrop]

Doctor Who

The Angels will have the phone box once again. Steven Moffat has revealed that the creepy Weeping Angels from "Blink" will return in the next season. [Blogtor Who]

Also, the Tenth Doctor wishes you a Merry Christmas in a pair of station identifications. [Planet Gallifrey]

True Blood

The casting directors have been very busy lately. Joe Manganiello, who has had recurring roles on One Tree Hill and How I Met Your Mother, landed one of the season's key parts — that of the heroic werewolf Alcide. [E!]

Eric's dancing lover has also been cast. Natasha Alam will play the Fangtasia employee who takes up with the blond viking. And Gregg Daniel has been cast as Reverend Daniels, spiritual adviser to Tara's mom (and object of her affections). [EW]

But that's not all! Sam and Lafayette are both getting new parental units. Cooper Huckabee will be introduced in the season's second episode as Joe Lee Mickens, Sam's father, and multiple Emmy Award-winner Alfre Woodard is signing on as Lafayette's mom. [ShockTillYouDrop, ShockTillYouDrop]

Lost

As promised, there's no new footage in the pre-premiere promos, but relive the previous seasons' tragedies to "Amazing Grace." [via /Film]

More news from the sets. At the Diamond Head Stage, Desmond, Mikhail, and Sayid are going to be getting wet. At an airport, Sun and Jin were seen going through customs. [DarkUFO]

And here are few more of the casual wear promo pictures. [Lyly Ford]

Chuck

Zachary Levi promises that Chuck's cool new powers (including fluency in Thai) won't change the klutzy heart of the show. Armand Asante will be playing the leader of the Costa Gravas, a sort of Castro-like figure. Chuck gets stuck on an airplane with Stone Cold Steve Austin's bad guy character. According to the creators, Brandon Routh and Kristin Kreuk's characters will be more than romantic obstacles for Chuck and Sarah, and that they will be connected to the larger mythology of the show. Kreuk's character Hannah will set multiple hearts aflutter at the Buy More, and that's just one issue the store has to deal with. Buy More will contend with cutbacks and management overthrows, and will get a new assistant manager. [Cinema Blend]

Chuck goes kung fu in Converse sneakers in a new Season Three poster.

Meanwhile, the set photos show Chuck giving Brandon Routh a lift. [Socialite Life]

And NBC has more promos to get you ready for the new season. [via Spoiler TV]

Still want more Chuck? In a new special preview feature, the cast talks about the new season.

And Zachary Levi is excited to get back to superspying.

Smallville

More details have emerged on the two-hour Justice Society movie. Apparently, the first episode starts with a death, which sets Clark's encounter with the JSA in motion. But one member has a special interest in clark. Says Britt Irvin of her character Stargirl:

"She has a special connection with Clark because he reminds her a lot of her mentor," says the actress. What's more, when the JSA gets wind (via Dr. Fate) of Clark's destiny, Stargirl realizes "he's very important for mankind."

Irvin also says that her mysterious mentor will make an appearance (as a corpse?), and that Stargirl and Hawkman will have some friction with Green Arrow in the beginning. [Fancast]

<![CDATA[Set Pics Reveal A Proto-Cylon, A Mysterious Grave On Lost, And A Fringe Struggle]]> Things get weirder on Lost, and a star of The Wire visits Doctor Who. Romo Lampkin visits Supernatural, and there are bizarre Green Hornet reports. Also: Fringe/Caprica set pics, plus FlashForward, Smallville, Stargate, True Blood, Dollhouse and [Rec] spoilers.

[Rec] 2:

Javier Botet returns as Medeiros, who's possessed and the object of a manhunt by a priest and a S.W.A.T. team. The priest needs Medeiros' blood so he can synthesize an antidote for the virus that allows demons to possess people's bodies. As with the first movie, Botet only shows up at the end of the film. The sequel has more explanations than the first movie, and is more action-oriented and commercial, says Botet. [Shock Till You Drop]

Green Hornet:

Apparently the new "it" band The Anvil just filmed a cameo where they play in a rock club and then, literally, explode. [L.A. Times via Cinemablend]

Lost:

More details on episode four, "The Substitute," from an anonymous source. (Grain of salt definitely indicated.) Apparently this is the episode where we deal with Faux Locke and Jacob's murder. And in the episode — according to source — Sun insists they should give someone a proper burial, Frank makes a comment about the "weirdest funeral ever," and Ben makes a touching speech. Someone reveals that he/she know a lot more about the island than Ben does, and the identity of Jacob's child is revealed. Also, a drunk Sawyer reunites with a familiar face, and an old friend meets someone unexpected off the island — possibly the Ben/Locke scene at the school that people witnessed the filming of? [SpoilersLost]

Some new set pics include a bit of airplane, a hole in the ground, and a weird structure. More at the link. [SpoilersLost]

Dollhouse:

Enver Gjokaj, aka this show's new MVP, says he's very clear that Victor and Sierra really do get wiped in between assignments — it's only Echo who remembers stuff. But Victor and Sierra have a love/attraction that can't be wiped. And upcoming episodes will explore Victor's backstory and we'll discover that he's actually "a very broken character." We'll realize that both Victor and Sierra were very "damaged characters." [L.A. Times]

Caprica:

Some set pics from a Syfy set visit, mostly showing the nice interior furnishings... but that one Cylon pic is fucking cool. [SpoilerTV]

Doctor Who:

More details about the upcoming animated storyline, "Dreamland." The Wire's Clarke Peters will play a Native American named Night Eagle. (Oh.) Peters says his character gets caught up in an alien invasion in New Mexico: "He's an old man, but a hell of an archer." And as you might have known, Georgia Moffett (the Doctor's daughter from last year) plays a new character, companion Cassie Rice. And David Warner also guest stars. [Telegraph]

Fringe:

A couple of photographers captured some snaps of the recent filming, including a stint at UBC involving an altercation, a fedora, and a group of children in orange outfits. More pics at both links. [My Little Insanity and BlueTeeth on Flickr, via Fringe Watch]

Supernatural:

A goofy sneak peek and a new promo from this week's episode:

Romo Lampkin/Manservant Neville himself, Mark Sheppard, will guest star in the last episode of 2009, "Abandon All Hope..." He plays a pivotal crossroads demon named Crowley. This episode, written by Ben Edlund, will be epic and leave you on the edge of your seat until the show returns in early 2010. (The show takes Oct. 22 off, but otherwise has new episodes every week, through Thanksgiving.) [Chicago Tribune]

And here's the synopsis for next week's episode, "The Curious Case Of Dean Winchester," written by Sera Gamble:

OLD MAN DEAN! - Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) discover a witch (guest star Hal Ozsan) is running a high-stakes poker game where the currency is life years vs. money. Bobby (Jim Beaver) sees the game as a chance to get out of the wheelchair and bets 25 years, but loses. As Bobby begins to age rapidly, Dean steps in to save him but also ends up turning into an old man, leaving Sam holding the bag for their survival.

[SpoilerTV]

Chuck:

Episode 3x07 will be called "Chuck Vs. The Mask," written by Phil Klemmer with Michael Schultz directing. [ChuckTV.net]

FlashForward:

A couple of sneak peeks from this week's episode, "Black Swan":

And here's the official description for episode six, "Scary Monsters And Super Creeps":

Mark, Demetri and Wedeck try to connect Janis' attack with a separate attack made on them; Olivia confronts Mark about his flashforward; Demetri and Gough track down a clue from Mark's flash; Dylan goes missing from the hospital

[SpoilerTV]

Smallville:

Those rumors that Laura Vandevoort would turn up in episode 9x07, "Kandor," aren't true. And here's the description for the Speedy episode, 9x06, "Crossfire":

OLIVER TAKES DC COMICS' CHARACTER SPEEDY UNDER HIS WING - Oliver tries to help a young street girl, Mia AKA Speedy (guest star Elise Gatien), get out of her dangerous life by offering to train her, but Mia double crosses him. Lois asks Clark to help her land a job as an on-air television host, but the two are shocked when the station wants to hire them as a team.

[KryptonSite]

Stargate Universe:

The lost-in-space show had a press day in Vancouver last week, and Collider was kind enough to post the whole thing on Youtube. [Collider]

Even though this show is such a departure from the past 15 seasons of Stargate shows, in one respect it represents a return to tradition: co-creator Robert C. Cooper says that the Stargate had become marginalized somewhat in Stargate Atlantis, and in this show it's central once again. It's the "device that allows us to tell stories. It's very much a central icon to this show." [Den Of Geek]

True Blood:

Someone you hate isn't long for this world, according to Alan Ball:

"Somebody is going to bite the dust and it's going to be really good to see them get what they deserve," Ball says. The only clue the Blood boss would reveal is that "it's a person we'll be happy to see go."

<![CDATA[Clips Of Megan Fox's Notorious Kiss With Amanda Seyfried, Plus Pandorum And 9]]> Get a spoiler catharsis with intense teasers and featurettes from Pandorum, Jennifer's Body, 9, Supernatural, Smallville and FlashForward. Crazy Doctor Who rumors! Guess who's wearing the cheerleader uniform on Heroes! Plus Surrogates, Gamer, Dark Shadows, [Rec], Twilight, Lost and Chuck.

Pandorum:

Here are a couple of new TV spots for this space-horror epic:

Jennifer's Body:

A new behind-the-scenes featurette takes you behind the sexy horror of the horrific sexiness.

And Entertainment Tonight actually featured a clip of the Amanda Seyfried/Megan Fox kiss, plus Megan Fox talking about her character:

Surrogates:

More details on the footage that director Jonathan Mostow showed reporters: Bruce Willis and other surrogate cops are chasing a suspect in a helicopter, and the suspect is on a motorcycle. The suspect weaves in and out of Boston traffic, then abandons his motorcycle. He takes out some cops with his pulse gun, then shoots at the helicopter. Willis disconnects from his surrogate just before the blast hits, waking up in his apartment. Then he reconnects to his robotic surrogate and continues the chase, following the suspect into the surrogate-phobic reservation, showing how badass his robot body can be, jumping over shit and taking lots of damage.

And Mostow says Willis has "existential ennui" because the only crime that's left — crimes against people's robot surrogates — is a property crime rather than murder or whatever. (So why don't criminals just break into your house and stab your real body while you're controlling your robot body?) This makes Willis feel his job as a cop is meaningless, and he can't connect with his wife. Once Willis has to operate as his real self, he realizes just how hollow his robot-body-driven life was. [IGN]

9:

Star Elijah Wood was on Conan O'Brien the other night, and he talked about the numerology of this movie as well as Comic Con:

There's also this somewhat weird disturbing clip from his children's TV appearance, which has nothing to do with this movie, but it's too weird not to share:

Also, Wood and director Shane Acker talked to Sci Fi Wire, and explained a bit more about the film — we start out seeing through 9's eyes, and he knows as little about this world as we do. We follow him on his journey of discovery, and he convinces the other ragdolls to try and figure out more about who they are and what the machines are. They can't physically fight the machines because they're too fragile. So gathering knowledge is the only way they can win. Also, 7 (Jennifer Connelly) is a fiercly independent warrior who pushes everyone else away. She's a maverick. [Sci Fi Wire]

And here are a couple new featurettes, from what appears to be the film's official Youtube channel:

Gamer:

So we talked to Amber Valletta yesterday about being a sex-puppet in this sex-and-violence games movie. Apparently, the guy who controls her is sort of a disgusting slug, and he licks his lips in every single scene he's in. The two of them never appear together, though, because he's controlling her remotely. [UGO]

Dark Shadows:

One of the biggest challenges with this film is to recapture the weird tone of the original, says director Tim Burton, who certainly seems to think Johnny Depp will star in it, judging from the way he namedrops Depp. [MTV]

[Rec] 2:

Some new images from this sick-building-syndrome movie. More at the link. [Aullidos via ShockTillYouDrop]

Twilight:

The third movie, Eclipse, will feature Jasper doing a lot of fighting, says Jackson Rathbone. And there'll be some Civil War scenes giving his character's origin. [MTV]

Doctor Who:

A couple of tidbits from the forums over at Gallifrey Base. For one thing, IMDB is now claiming that Bruno Langley, who played Adam back in season one, will appear in David Tennant's final episode. Is Adam coming back to cause trouble again? Or is this another instance of the Doctor traveling back into his own past, like the thing where the tenth Doctor drops in on Rose before she's met the ninth Doctor? Oh, and there's a rumor — and I emphasize rumor — that a 1960s companion will turn up. But forum posters don't think it'll be Carole Ann Ford, because she's turning up in a Big Finish audio production, and those usually avoid using elements that are turning up on the TV show. [Gallifrey Base]

FlashForward:

Here's a new promo, featuring a confession of future infidelity:

Lost:

David H. Lawrence XVII, who played the puppetmaster guy on Heroes, Twittered that he landed a role in the final season of Lost. [The ODI]

Supernatural:

I don't think we've shown you this hilarious trailer, featuring some subliminal messages, before.

Smallville:

Here's a screencap from a new season nine sneak peek, featuring the Superman logo. Bigger version at the link. [The ODI]

Someone named LilMissX twittered a couple of promo photos of Chloe from the new season. [TwitPic via SpoilerTV]

And here's a sneak peek from the season opener, featuring Brian Austin Green making us all wish Sarah Connor was still being Chronicled.

Stargate Universe:

The season will end with an episode called "Subversion," followed by a two-parter called "Incursion." And that two-parter ends with "big-time cliffhanger," according to writer/producer Joseph Mallozzi, who calls it the "biggest HOLY #%&@! ending I have ever written." Because "Incursion" has been expanded from one hour to two, one other episode will get held over to season two — which means probably nobody much dies in that cliffhanger, or else they're able to rework the held-over episode somehow. [Gateworld]

Chuck:

Smallville's Kristin Kreuk will appear in multiple episodes as Hannah, a publishing industry veteran who meets Chuck on a flight to Paris. She loses her job and winds up working at the Buy More. And both Chuck and Morgan will have feelings for her. [EW]

Heroes:

So we already knew there would be more time travel this year, and now here are more details. Hayden Panettiere donned her old cheerleader outfit for some scenes that probably take place back during season one. And meanwhile, Hiro and Sylar filmed a confrontation in Odessa, TX that's probably set during the same era. Sylar throws Hiro up against a bus, and Hiro screams "Stoppp! I am dying!" And Sylar points his finger at Hiro's head. And here are some pics of both scenes — more at the link. [The ODI]

Also, Greg Grunberg says the thing where his Head-Sylar kidnaps his baby will all make sense. And he explains more of Matt's arc this season:

What's cool is that my powers evolve, and I start this year so regretting what I did last year that I have absolutely cut it cold turkey. I refuse to use my powers, and Sylar wants me to, so he's constantly on my shoulder going, 'Use your powers, you p-ssy.' It's great. It's really cool.

[Sci Fi Wire]

Creator Tim Kring says the upcoming "Redemption" arc could serve as the end of the show's story, but it doesn't have to.

We've never really posited an ending… [because] it's never been one long serialized story. Each volume has a beginning, middle and end. So we try to wrap things up pretty neatly each time and string a cliffhanger over the break to reward the loyal viewers.

[EW]

Eureka:

Here are some pics from episode 3x18, "What Goes Around." [SpoilerTV]

True Blood:

There's a plan in place for Evan Rachel Wood to return as Sophie the Vampire Queen next season. [EW]

Additional reporting by Alexis Brown.

<![CDATA[One Star Trek Star Won't Be Back, But One Surprising Iron Man Character Will Be]]> Spoilers come from everywhere, despite what the Answer Bitch says: Marvel spills Iron Man info, a Star Trek star talks sequels, and there's Avatarfootage details. Plus Time Traveler's Wife, Gamer, Jennifer's Body, [Rec] 2, New Moon, Lost, Dollhouse and Smallville.

Avatar:

MarketSaw's description of the Comic Con footage from this film includes a few new details. Like, the disabled Jake Sully muscles his way out of his wheelchair and into his control bed, grabbing each of his legs in turn by the pants leg and swinging it over. Then, his mind is transferred into his alien Avatar body, and everything is different. The technicians tell him "Welcome to your new body," and he tries touching his thumb with his fingers. He steps down onto the floor, and we focus on his giant blue feet. Jake gets startled by his own tail, which wraps around him, and causes havoc in the lab. Jake, unused to his new Avatar body, goes a bit berzerk, and the technicians try to sedate him, but Jake rips off his electrodes and leaves the lab, with the technicians giving chase. [MarketSaw]

Star Trek:

Nero won't fiddle while the Federation burns. Eric Bana confirms he won't be back for any sequels, and his character was just a one-off for the first movie. [MovieWeb]

Iron Man 2:

A couple more tidbits from Marvel's set reports. SHIELD agent Coulson (the guy who couldn't come up with an acronym in the first movie) will be back, which seems surprising since we have Nick Fury now. As for Fury, all that Kevin Feige would say is that his role will be at least comparable to his appearance in the first film — which is an odd statement, given that he was in the first film for 20 seconds, and we've already seen more footage than that featuring him.
[Marvel]

The Time Traveler's Wife:

Warner Bros. released a slew of promo pics from this time-crossed romance film, coming August 14. [Warner Bros.]

Gamer:

There's a new trailer for this deadly-video-games film, plus a new TV spot... and a new trailer in German, which I think is the same as the other one. Only more Teutonic.

Jennifer's Body:

Fangoria visited the set of this film, and watched a scene where Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried visit a bar, pretending to be over 21 when they're still in high school. Also, writer Diablo Cody says her screenplay references horror masters Herschell Gordon Lewis and Dario Argento. And the film is definitely a callback to 1970s-early 1980s horror films, rather than a straight-up gorefest. The movie's horror conceit is a metaphor for what's happening in the relationship between Fox's and Seyfried's characters. Fox's character has to feed on human flesh, or else she wastes away — which only has the effect of making her look like a lot of typical girls. [via SpoilerTV-Movies]

[Rec] 2:

A new trailer for this Spanish horror sequel includes some new footage. [Bloody Disgusting]

New Moon:

Apparently that thing about the ancient and powerful Volturi sitting around stark naked in one scene was just a joke on the part of actor Jamie Campbell-Bower, says director Chris Weitz. [Bella And Edward]

Lost:

A new Italian trailer for season six makes the show sound all suave and sophisticated. And reveals, ummm... that there'll be an island. And stuff.

Dollhouse:

Joss Whedon explains that in the new season, Echo (Eliza Dushku) will start out being aware that "As a person, she exists, and she has a mission. She has something she wants. This year, we're going to see the results of everything she went through... We're going to find her to be a great deal less passive and more directed in what she wants. And that's going to make her life a good deal harder." [New Jersey Star-Ledger]

Fringe:

Here are a set of new promo pics of our cast members. [Fringe Bloggers]

Smallville:

Here's a new teaser for season nine, plus the spoilery clip they showed at SDCC. [OSCK]

Vampire Diaries:

Here's a new trailer for the most hotly anticipated show with "diaries" in the title:

And there are some casting script pages from the third episode, where Jenna meets her old flame Logan, who's in his late 20s and they trade insults and barbs that prove they have tons of unresolved sexual/romantic tension. Like she tells him he has a receding hairline. Smouldering! [SpoilerTV]

<![CDATA[Alien Life Invades Through Transmorphing BlackBerry? Wake Me When It's A Transformer iPhone]]> If Transformers' "shadow movie" Transmorphers has a Blackberry that morphs into a spiderbot, will the second Tranformers have a killer Decepticon iPhone baddie? Plus, check out the latest batch of Asylum ripoffs, shorts, and Rec 2 clips.

Transmorphers: Fall of Man
The official synopsis is:

In this present day prequel, the robot invaders attack the Earth, forcing a small band of humans to seek refuge below the surface of the planet.

Or they could just say, "We made this to coattail on the hype from Michael Bay... What?" Either way, this painfully hilarious film with Bruce Boxleitner and the guy who was the angel in Charmed (No, I will not look that up because you didn't know what his name was, anyways) will be out on DVD on June 30.

Transmorphers Trailer:

Transmorpher EVIL BLACKBERRY OF DEATH:

Vespers
This little short (pointed out by Quiet Earth) was one of the Sci-Fi London festival movies that we'd been hearing good things about. It's a short about an alternate history where the world ends by plague in the Victorian era. Check out the full short below:

Bristol, England 1880. A mysterious plague has wiped out humanity, the last man alive walks alone looking for survivors. All around him is death and destruction. As he's about to give up all hope, a miracle occurs.

Vespers

Rec 2
Three Rec 2 clips are out. These new clips confirm that the movie will be in the same location, with the first person POV angle, and recorded from the military feed that the presumed soldiers are transmitting from in the quarantined zone. So: More of the same, but in a good way I guess... if you want more Rec.

<![CDATA[Rec 2's Operatic Zombie-Killing Spree Brings Tear To Your Eye]]> There are few things more beautiful then a properly executed slaughter over a beautiful solo. We didn't even know we wanted another Rec installment until we saw this footage. Bravo!

Spanish horror film Rec, which inspired the American adaptation Quarantine, is back with a sequel. Delivering quality scares and good horror for the masses. The new Rec 2 website is up with all sorts of goodies for the foreign film. I have to say it looks similar to the original in many ways, and that's not a bad thing. There's nothing wrong with throwing a bunch of humans into a quarantined pit, or apartment complex, full of blood-thirsty beings.

<![CDATA[Pontypool Proves Words Do Hurt, Plus Evil Bollywood TVs]]> Get a better look at the zombie horror film Pontypool, with four new clips that show why words are deadly. Plus, find out if any blood-soaked Spanish apartments are for available in Rec 2.

Pontypool
First up this week is a movie I've been excited about since it's been filming, Pontypool. This survival film, where certain words in the English language can turn the speaker into a zombie, focuses in on one lone DJ who listens while a Canadian town falls into undead darkness. We've got a batch of new clips that are a little spoilery, so beware. Pontypool opens in limited theaters on May 29th.

Some Words Are Infected:

We Are Here:

Rec 2
Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plaza are back for this Rec sequel. There are very few details right now but, from the teaser below, it looks like the movie is taking place right after the original Spanish film ended. Does this mean we're going to get a Quarantine 2 as well?

13-B
A nice family has just moved into an evil apartment where the television dictates what you see, and not in a "I deleted your TIVO" kind of way. The poor saps are slowly manipulated and bullied by the telly, until they take it out.
