@braak: i imagine he'd find me annoying because i'd constantly ask him to switch accents back and forth. i seriously want to know how quickly he can do it if tested.

Or at least it was 20ish years ago when I got to do it in a riverside pub in Henley-on-Thames, England, when he coached our eight for the regatta. Back then he'd switch accents in mid-sentence just for the fun of it, and to keep the crew loose.
And yes, I have been waiting 20 years for a chance to tell my "when I had beers with Hugh Laurie" story.
