@Winston Smith: Oh, EFF YOU, Smith!
That's better than my version. But my hair is better...
Bastard!
Now I'm not gonna put up my pic.

I refuse to get a Flickr, so this will have to do.
Some crazy photographer decided that my face was needed on the local party scene site.
I've got two from the actual party we had at my place as well, but they turned out sorta bad. Well, at least for seeing what I was.
This is somewhat better. #reminder
@CodenameV: well jeez if you liked that enough to promote it, I have video of my running convention panels in my costume, in character.
Ok this is from a summer anime convention but its the same costume I wore for Halloween
(You see I was looking for a way to change my life, but I could not do this on my own. So the result...was V. He looks as I want to look, and acts as I want to act. and little by little I just find myself *becoming*....V) #reminder
halloween has no real meaning to us here in NZ, but we engage in it, because we like to identify with the United States (seeing as the U.S.A pretty much dictates visual culture at the moment). It was interesting this year to see the number of people dress up, and children trick or treating, rise significantly. #reminder
Yeah, I agree others here. The io9'ers have a proper website here why muddy things with a third party service? At least Gawker tries to. I mean if you run the source of this page through a validator, it might still fail but at least I can find where the markup errors are.
As a web developer, I find MySpace and Facebook very annoying because they don't follow proper DTDs. I don't object to the concept of social networking service. I just object to the technically flawed execution of it. It's like a throw back to all those anglefire and cityscape pages of the early days of the Web.
If Gawker needs something more forum-like, slashcode is out there, no need to reinvent the wheel.
@corpore-metal: Instead of a forum just give us an edit button, argh!
This:
"At least Gawker tries to. I mean if you run the source of this page through a validator, it might still fail but at least I can find where the markup errors are."
Should be in the second paragraph not the first. I have to be less impulsive before hitting submit.

People are always asking me if I know V....is V my bad dream, or am I V's? #reminder
