Am I the only one seeing a snowboarding video when I click on the Aunt Entity video? I never saw Thunderdome so don't really understand, is she one of the snowboarders? I wouldn't think so from the description, but you never know with the oblique in-jokes I find on io9.

i don't think there was really enough evidence to put lando calrissian on a 'most corrupt' list. it's clear he was coerced into a deal with vader under the pretense that it would be easier than resisting. sure, that's not as nobel as just telling vader to fuck off (and then getting choked to death) but it's no where near the same level as mayor 'ha ha i fused your mouth shut and replaced your arms with machine pistons' rudgutter.

@tetracycloide: Agreed. I mean, Lando was looking out for his his city the entire time. If Lando refused to help Vader, the city would've been put under Imperial control. I also don't see how Cloud City is a "corrupt, messed-up place." It looked like a paradise to me, a refuge for people on the run from the Empire or various crime lords. Cloud City was a chance for them to start over and live a normal life. Lando also ordered an evacuation of the city when he figured out that the Empire wasn't going to leave, something he didn't have to do and risked his life doing. The Rebels also helped liberate the city after Endor, which would never have happened if Lando hadn't blown up the second Death Star.

Kudos for the inclusion of 2000AD. But wasnt Cal a cheif Judge which puts him much higher than a mayor. Infact most blocks in Megacity 1 had Electorial Mayor votes all the time considering most blocks were the size of a small city. This usually led to coruption and violence when the voting day came. It was cool because we always got to see Dredd crack heads. Dave (The Orangutan) was probably the most popular mayor the city ever had. He was allowed to run for office as there was no specific law to prohibit it, although the Judges' real motive for allowing the election may well have been to undermine the credibility of democracy as a viable system of government. After his assassination in 2107 no more mayors were elected for ten years. Then judge Volt got it all back on track. Cal was bad..very bad. But no Mayor!
