It is indeed the air intake. At the top for stealth and noise suppression (relative to the ground). Also in a good location normally taken up by the fleshbag controller.

@CoffinDodger (If the typos crap. Blame my...: Not a problem, the same movie and every other movie about military robots has shown us what to do.
