The smoldering hot secret sidekick to Darth Vader in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is rumored to be cast as Superman's biggest threat in Smallville, Doomsday. First Look At Moon And Sam Rockwell's Slipping Sanity
Sam "Zaphod" Rockwell furrows his brow in the first pic from Moon, directed by David Bowie's son Duncan Jones (aka Zowie Bowie). This picture shows a bit more of the film's lonely "lost in space" plot centering around Rockwell's character Sam Bell, who's stuck on a moon alone for three years and has a life-changing personal experience. Everything John Connor Knows About The Future Is Wrong, In Terminator 4
Terminator 4 could be a lot more unpredictable than we'd expected, judging from a Warner Bros. press release that reveals a bunch of new plot twists and turns. Meanwhile, the movie has cast John Connor's wife Kate: it's Charlotte Gainsbourg (21 Grams.) This character, originally portrayed by Clarie Danes in T3 , sent the Terminator back in time to help them both after John was killed in their messy future. Imagine what would happen if all the right-wing Christians suddenly floated up into the sky, and your wiccan lesbian neighbors could suddenly do real magic. That's the premise of magic realist/scifi/defies description graphic novel Therefore Repent!, written by the awesome scifi author Jim Munroe and drawn beautifully by Salgood Sam. What appeals about Munroe's post-rapture tale, aside the believable characters in outlandish situations, is the way it serves as a progressive, humane rejoinder to the Christian scifi novels in the Left Behind series, whose premise is almost exactly the same.

Read Michael Chabon's Script for Spider-Man 2
Michael Chabon wrote one of the smartest explorations of superheroes in his Pulitzer-winning The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, so it was exciting news when he agreed to write the script for Spider-Man 2. Unfortunately, some studio execs, in their wisdom, decided to bring in some other writers, including Smallville co-creators Al Gough and Miles Millar, to revamp Chabon's script. Now David Eggers' literary magazine McSweeney's has put Chabon's original version online, as a free PDF, for a limited time. We compared Chabon's draft with what ended up on screen. And not surprisingly, everything that was good about Spider-Man 2 is in the Chabon version, and a whole lot more besides. More »
