Oh God, not Glee. I HATE Glee and its cast with a passion. Every time I see those grinning faces, I want to shoot someone, anyone.
Dollhouse needs to learn from Whedon's older work, period. Not from this musical atrocity. All those points mentioned there, Buffy and Angel had in spades most of the time. #dollhouse
I love Glee! I agree Dollhouse has pacing issues. I wouldn't speed it up quite as fast as Glee!, I think that it actually is a bit too fast, but a happy medium would be wonderful. I would certainly like them to dump the misadventure of the week format and start progressing toward the grim future of Epitaph1. I honestly wonder if that isn't going to be a difficult story to tell.
When Fox said they would air all 13 episodes of Dollhouse, they did say they would almost certainly pull it during sweeps, so that's not a shock.
I also agree that a villain who goes with it and enjoys the evil can really be a nice change from all the reserved evil and emo evil we've seen lately. That's the main reason I'm riveted by Vampire Diaries: Ian Somerhalder's character is just (no pun!) gleeful in his evil, yet he has nuances.
Perhaps they can hire Jane Lynch as the ultimate Rossum Corporation big bad. #dollhouse
Dollhouse just needs to go back to the stronger ongoing narrative it had near the end of S1, and get far away from the "brain of the weak" formula. #dollhouse
"I want it on my desk, warm from the laminator, at 5 pm. If it is one minute late I will go to the animal shelter and get you a kitty cat. I will let you fall in love with that kitty cat. And then on some dark, cold night I will steal away into your home and punch you in the face."
Whedon needs whoever wrote this on staff. And yeah, Jane Lynch too.
Everyone in the Dollhouse being a victim of circumstance is lame. Ray Wise would be ok, he was a decent The Devil, but I really want Summer Glau to be the Big Bad. #dollhouse
@txtphile: That quote had me roaring in laughter on par to last night's Office episode.
And I agree. Summer Glau playing a bad guy hasn't been done since The 4400, and even there she was just a conflicted schizophrenic with superb mental abilities. #dollhouse
Honestly, this week's Glee was the first one I didn't actively dislike since the pilot. Jane Lynch is great, but Sue is a one-note character. Musical numbers are great, but the actual music is so overproduced for sale on iTunes that I can't actually enjoy the numbers. And while I can appreciate the camp and the tongue-in-cheek-ness of it all... you've got to give me some sincerity every once in a while. #dollhouse
i love Glee! i just started catching it on Hulu (SGU too) so i missed the first two episodes. but i agree with how fast they go through plot lines. i was just thinking about that today actually. at first i found it offputting, but you know, it makes me excited- because soon, all the obvious plots will be run though; i like how they took care of the 'dad i'm gay' plot in what, 1.5 episodes? that there could have been 3 seasons of 'dad i'm-- taking out the trash!' 'dad, i have to tell you, i'm g--oing over to pete's!' if this were say... Smallville. #dollhouse

So if Whedon did think that being left out of November sweeops was the end, would he say so?
"Oh, my little show is screwed, it's dying. FOX has left it off sweeps so it is definitely not coming back."
Yeah, I can't see him saying that. #dollhouse
