Dollhouse needs to learn from Whedon's older work, period. Not from this musical atrocity. All those points mentioned there, Buffy and Angel had in spades most of the time. #dollhouse

When Fox said they would air all 13 episodes of Dollhouse, they did say they would almost certainly pull it during sweeps, so that's not a shock.
I also agree that a villain who goes with it and enjoys the evil can really be a nice change from all the reserved evil and emo evil we've seen lately. That's the main reason I'm riveted by Vampire Diaries: Ian Somerhalder's character is just (no pun!) gleeful in his evil, yet he has nuances.
Perhaps they can hire Jane Lynch as the ultimate Rossum Corporation big bad. #dollhouse

Whedon needs whoever wrote this on staff. And yeah, Jane Lynch too.
Everyone in the Dollhouse being a victim of circumstance is lame. Ray Wise would be ok, he was a decent The Devil, but I really want Summer Glau to be the Big Bad. #dollhouse

And I agree. Summer Glau playing a bad guy hasn't been done since The 4400, and even there she was just a conflicted schizophrenic with superb mental abilities. #dollhouse

So if Whedon did think that being left out of November sweeops was the end, would he say so?
"Oh, my little show is screwed, it's dying. FOX has left it off sweeps so it is definitely not coming back."
Yeah, I can't see him saying that. #dollhouse

Glee actually reminds me of his Buffy take on High School minus the hellmouth. An ensemble cast representing a motley crew of kids on the bottom of the social food chain banding together. Satire galore, dark humor, plenty of quirky dialog. And we all know Sue Sylvester could have easily been a Big Bad. #dollhouse

Something along those lines. #dollhouse

Really, it won't kill you to speak with more clarity. You don't have to talk like an 8 year-old boy just because this is the internet. #dollhouse

Have you seen Epitaph One? Dollhouse has some truly epic ideas behind it- just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's "weak crap". #dollhouse

I agree with you though, Dollhouse has a great "Idea" but poor execution, which is probably equally blamed on Fox, Joss and his wooded cast. Firefly was a far less imaginative idea (space as the wild west) but was executed far better.
Personally I think Whedon forgot that TV should be enjoyable every once in a while. Make us laugh, make us cry, make us try to figure out something. Just making us watch leads to boring tv/ #dollhouse

However, I do think that Dollhouse could really benefit from the way Glee has been marketed. It's got great viral, there are pop culture tie-ins left and right, there have been almost 2 million song downloads from iTunes with only 7 episodes into its first season. Glee is a show that works its ass off to get the word out. Dollhouse shows up, broods, then sulks that no one pays attention to it. (emo!)
That said, Glee knows exactly what it wants to be and pursues its identity vigorously. Dollhouse is still wobbling around trying to find itself. Tough to sell a concept you're not 100% sure of.
I also, squee! I am so glad I am not the only one who loves Glee on this site. #dollhouse

Yeah, that's right. Get over it.
And not to go totally ballroom nerd on y'all, but I'm even giving them a pass on having Emma and Will waltz to "I Could Have Danced All Night", which is most certainly _not_ written in 3/4 time.
While GLEE is on its break, I'll imagine Sue Sylvester giving me the discipline I both want and need. She'll "haunt my dreams".
That's how _I_ "C" it. #dollhouse
